Yes, yes I know neon.

I'm allowed to argue over what might have been. You've been doing that when England have played India now for 18 months......

As I said earlier edges went unnoticed due to the overwhelming volume. It's sometimes hard to pick them up even with DRS so it's slightly harsh to lambaste any umpire, regardless of where they are from, when not picking up the yuvraj glove/bottom edge or dhoni none dismissal.

can't really argue with the cook one mind but was apparently bordeline

wait does t20 international hv DRS? and from my pov whats the point of having just 2 reviews? the point shud be to make sure all decisions are right and not just one.
if DRS is at all made cumpolsury icc needs to work out a way in whihc they can maximize correct decions throught out the match and not just when captains feel they have been robbed a wicket.

posted on 15/1/13

fair point viru, but if bcci won't accept 2 reviews they're not going to accept unlimited ones. Or is this why they object?

posted on 15/1/13

Viru,

The drs purpose is not to eliminate all wrong decisions. It's there to get rid of the howlers, the disasters and the obvious. If you want to go down the root if every decision should be correct, then the games will be stopped every 5 minutes for a review, carry on with that and soon you'll have empty stadiums or even worse spectators falling asleep of boredom .

The BCCI should give up on its arrogance and stubbornness over the DRS issue.

Dernbach needs to be dropped, I've seen enough of him and to be honest he has no brain to utilise those number of skills he has.

He has everything in the book, can bowl at 90+ and can bowl various deliveries...but he is utter shiite and needs dropping.

Give Chris Woakes time and he will come good!- I rather Woakes play then Jade Dernbach.

As for Dhoni he does deserve an applause ... For me the 2nd best finisher this game has ever seen.

Neon, he has it all but you need a brain to use it properly... Let's all admit he is just rubbish now. He's more interested in stroking his hair back every time he bowls!

Surprised by the margin of defeat. The target might have caused panic among English batsmen.

dernbach has been one player that I hv never rated. I think I saw him first vs india in england, and people used to talk alot about hime saying he wud be very effective in subcontinent pitches.

the fact is just having a slower ball doesnt make it a wicket taking delivery. he is ow useless anyway who doesnt seem hv any other plan in his head.

Big target in the second odi caused panic among English batsmen , other than that there is absolutely nothing in Dinda, Ishant slow bouncers that will cause fear among English ranks.Likelihood is the story will repeat 10000th time in India and that is team batting first will score in excess of 300 and the team batting second wlll falter in its chase.

Kash,

Just seen you comment from other article regarding Pakistani women being moved from Mumbai . Seriously, I expected nothing else from the Indians. Common sense was never a strength of theirs was it..... I mean if they didnt want them there at all, fair enough. Moving from one city to another, what purpose does that serve.
