good side, id stick with the 4 bowlers and put KP in there, he's the most talented batsman in the world and a big game player
Prior as WK
Still not sure about Philander on a slow flat track. He's not bowled in those conditions yet.
Agree with KP maybe being in the team as both Kallis & Clarke can bowl with Kallis being a great option.
It was tough choice with AB & Prior but AB has the better batting which is y hes in.
Philanders been amazing for around 18 months and im sure his line and lenth would do well in slow flat tracks as he gets the ball in the right place.
He's a great player but he did pick up 100-0 in the recent tests in Australia. I believe it was on the dead Adelaide pitch.
PItch dependent, Herath in for Anderson.
Not sure about ABDV as wickey either, might go for Prior there.
Anderson hets in any world 11 at the moment, end of, Prior for wicket, yes because it is a specialist position and he averages 43 in test cricket, De Villiers is a batsman come stand in keeper.

end of? Wow, I'm convinced. Also notice how he was in my team, unless the pitch was spinning.

Not pitch dependant, he gets wickets on green seamers, spinning tracks, slow turners, wickts in India, Australia, and lord only knows how many he will get in N Z !
If Test,
Smith
Cook
Amla
Pieterson
Kallis
Clarke
Prior wk
Philander (Swann if second spinner)
Ajmal
Steyn
Anderson
I would have picked Chanderpaul instead of Pieterson, but the batting line up is that strong, it shouldn't encounter the major skills he offers.
Yorkie

Kallis is the greatest no4 ever, if anything KP needs to move to 5 not the great one.
there's no room for pietersen in that team. amla and clarke are nailed on for middle order places, and as much as i hate to say it, you cant knock kallis's stats. no need for any more batters.
who are we playing anyway ?
yes good side - and only one Aussie player you have me convinced!!
JVB - Were playing the ja606 Indian 11. I hear Neon is captain, Viru wicketkeeper and they are trying to get Shiv Thakor to commit.
If the England selectors had their way, they would have these Sth.African players in the national team to keep the others company....
