England Wicketkeepers?

I don't see why we can't have Prior as one-day keeper for England, I think the selectors have blundered as far as dropping him from the setup. Give him another chance i say, his batting has really been top-notch recently. As far as the future is concerned yes I agree Bairstow is the man, he has a great temperament.and will hopefully fit the bill in future.
Why we always have to switch players between tests and one-dayers i don't know, seems to me we have gone too far down that road of late

I would leave Prior to Tests only. He has had a good run. Buttler is more than just a finisher. Especially in T20 he has moved up from 7, to 6, now to five.

I really rate him. Personally, I would play him in both 1 Day and T20. Bairstow as back up for both. Kieswetter isn't suited to 1 day. He can neither rotate the strike nor handle pace - Remember Brett Lee...

Kieswetter would get in my T20 Lions squad.

I would use Bairstow as back up in Tests. He does need to improve his keeping though. I always like the idea of the Lions squad being full of young lads (Topley, Thakor). I would like to see Foakes in there as keeper.

not seen any of these guys Yorkie so would have to bow to your superior knowledge of them. Heard about jos Buttler and he looks immense talent, can't think why they keep picking Kieswetter tbh!!

England have a pipeline of wicket keeping batsman and we can't get off the Akmals

What ever happened to Mustard? Just noticed he's playing in the BPL.

Durham captain these days. Good one day player. Suppose he fits into the Davies mould, just never really had a chance.

Prior would be in my one day team for sure. They used him too much as an opener last time he was and no one else has taken their chance.

This link is on this subject too.

Prior has had chances at the top and at 6 in the ODI team and it just hasn't worked. Surely Buttler/Bairstow is the way forward now with an eye on Foakes for the future?

Yorkie, have you seen much of the Overtan twins from somerset? I saw a bit of them at the u19 WC and they looked very good.
