The Brazilian League isn't poor

Didn't that player West Ham sign (Wellington Nem or something) score like 100 goals in 150 games over there? Or was he lower division?

Damiao is a very good player though, probably on par with Tevez imo

Probably not, not for the price they're asking for him, which is around 20 million.

Unproven and not a top goalscoring record in a weak league. I've just heard on the radio a sports correspondant from Brazil talking about how bad he looks when he's off form.

Might be another Jo in the making.

There was no plan A let alone a plan B. I don't think we even really wanted to sign this guy.

Looking at the goals he scored in the 2012 Olympics, he is exactly what we need, along with a playmaker

Like Tevez?!

Saw him play at the Olympics (in the stadium) and he looked very, very lightweight to me...the whole Olympics football looked like training games for most teams though, so I don't think it's any reflection.

I haven't seen him elsewhere. Plus, Brazil managed to make Sandro look sheite, and he didn't recover from the (obviously abysmally-poor) Brazil 'coaching' for the first four or five games for us this season, imo.

So, taking that all into account, Leandro will be a monster once he has acclimatised to life at the Mighty Hotspurs

Shame we will never sign him

Seriously chaps he isn't as good as some of you think, his scoring record is nowhere near the standard a £20m plus player should be at, he has only played in Brazil and with respect it not exactly the best league in the world. He had an ok olympics but struggles to get in Brazils team most of the time. Personally i'm glad we didn't get him, much better and more proven strikers out there for the same money.
