Are you able to watch games on TV at normal distance, or is the eye still not quite recovered from the op ??

Tarrico :

Adebayor U-turn at least 7 days into the transfer window.
Defoe injury rumours a week later.
No scouting network so no quick candidate back-ups identified.
No wonder Spurs thought about another attempt for Damiao.

We spent a lot of cash in the summer all of which we generated by sales but we needed the players we bought in , did we have the cash to buy a front man as well ??? Did AVB actually ask for one ???

Instead of slaughtering Levy how about havig a go at Ade for going to the Acon when he said in the summer he'd retired which is why we didnt buy then ....We simply dont have 25m to splash out on a striker who would actually improve us
=======================

i dont blame adebayore for playing for his country. if the only reason we bought him is that we didnt think he was going to acon then there's another black mark in the levy transfer dealing book. the truth is that we bought him cos he cost fak all (in terms of transfer fee), and levy could boast another 'great deal'.

levy knew adebayore had gone to acon anyway, so wtf's last summer got to do with this window ?

regarding your 2nd point, how can there not be a striker around who would not improve us ? WE DO NOT HAVE ANY STRIKERS.

internationcale said on the deadline day that there was a deal there to be done, but levy didnt want to do it. you think that damio isnt an improvement on harry kane ? pull the fakin other one

I sit about 4 foot from a 47 inch HD , as for the eye it is slowly improving but still a long way to go

Actually they said the deal wouldnt happen in Jan but could happen in June

BTW which striker that we could afford should we have bought..............As for Ade I didnt say he shouldnt go just he should make his bloody mind up so we know where we stand with him

"i dont blame adebayore for playing for his country."

He has inconvenienced the club with his faffing about going or not.
And the subsequent events with Defoe.

If he returns from AFCON uninjured and with something akin to the form he had for the first two thirds of last season, he'll just about redeem himself.

In the summer we were in for moutinho at the last minute and have only bought fryers and holtby since for a combined £4.5m. Was our bid for moutinho this amount or have the club lost £5m a month since then?

================

i dong dispute that, but we knew he was a anyway, and we knew he had gone to acon by the end of the window as well, so i dont see how it's relevant.

regardless of acon, wtf happens if he gets injured too ?

it's a fakin joke having 2 senior strikers in the squad at the best of time.

Lion

We have a certain amount to spend , Mout was the player AVB wanted , if we'd of signed him I very much doubt that we would have signed Holtby and we wouldnt have bid for LD

yeah, and he got jermaine jenas.

Squid,

That's my point. If we had say £20m to bid for moutinho, minus the small spend on holtby and fryers since aug 31st we must still have had a fair amount to bid for Damiao? To ask if we had money for a striker wouldn't make sense unless the club has been making losses since then because in theory the majority of that money earmarked for moutinho should still be available

How dare levy not sign a world class striker

Levy out. Avb out.

Lion We did bid for LD and Inter eventuslly said they didnt want to sell him in Jan but would in the Summer so what do we do , waste the cash we have on some non-entity or save it and buy him later

I do understand the frustration but we really do have to be very careful with the little cash we do have esp with no sugar daddy and a new home to be paid for

Chronic - how dare Levy actually sign a quality player for a couple of hundred thousand more than he wanted to, much against the (pre-signing) outrage on here at the exorbitant cost of a couple of Ade's designer suits

Oh wait, I cannot find the follow-up articles on that after Holtby signed. I shall make one. I expect to see the likes of you there. That paragon of common sense HRH too

Levy OUT for actually paying a reasonable fee for once rather than leaving it to deadline day and fighting over pennies and getting ought, yet again

Need to know what the "cash in bank" - "immediate creditors owing" amount is/was for the summer.

From transferleague, current transfer activity this season has been more or less zero sum, so the money for whoever can only come from the above.

Yeah Levy OUT

he has done nothing for our club, nothing! and now the fact he wasnt willing to break the bank to bring in a world class striker that we couldnt afford is all I can stand.

When Leeds utd were in the top flight they bought who they wanted, it never did them any harm

rant over
