sports has got so much money, and this is bound to happen. if investors and so many others are willing to put in money, then surely to get that money back, they have to find things like this.
That is why I believe England are way ahead in this matter. they make sure the culprits are found quickly and given them their right punishment. Unlike, other countries where just to prove the most obvious thing takes a whole lifetime.
I agree with neon education does help.
Does anyone here really think the Aussie cricketers are involved in this? I thought this was more directed towards the nrl, the afl and tennis/cycling.
Unfortunately, a lot of the sporting success of the Aussies in the 90s and 00s is forever tarnished.
Warne is sadly one of the worst exponents
Neon stop talking about individuals here. Nothing is worse than an actual country itself happy to host illegal betting. The root cause is India when it comes to betting in cricket.
- Indian cricketers implicated Indian bookmaker's
- SA cricketers implicated Indian bookmaker's
- Pak cricketers implicated guess who Indian bookmakers.
- Warne and Waugh implicated Indian bookmakers
- Samuels implicated Indian bookmaker's after being caught.
- Every cricketer that comes forward these days say they were approached by an Indian bookmaker.
You need to get off your high horse and accept where the vast majority of cricket corruption comes from
Ignore Neon he will comeback with the same old retort..About 3 pakistani players being found guilty.. They were found guilty because the bookermaker was to stupid to be caught. Before that happpend. who knows how many ppl were involved and how far spot and match fixing was going.. We just don't know do we? any player could have bowled a no ball or wide and benefited..And yes its INDIAN book makers thats mostly guilty.
How many differant things can you bet on? will the player get run out? thats easily arranged. how many times will a player leave the field? and will the go for a sh^t or a pis etc.. daft just bet on the most obvious and leave the silly things alone..

Yeah, like your english to Neon?
Neon you have just been put in your place. That bookmaker may have been British but he's like us where he supports his parental team.
Neon my earlier point was made just for cricket

Not always Neon, you ever heard of illegal gangs? sometimes the players feel them and their family will be hurt. so they so along with it. The guy who was involved in the 3 paskistani players started of being friendly with them for months.. Thats how it works. slow enticement..
Take Cronje, he started of been given gifts from bookies and that it started off from there , and we know what happend after that..
Going back to supporting a team. dont mean anything to me who anyone follows. If someone feels an infinity to a certain team or country thats fine.. I just have issues when people use sport to have a go at another. Which isnt sport related.

Maybe we should talk about Isha Guha's leg's
Oh very nice i just googled..
whoelse - Was a great game between England and Aus in women's cricket.
Indeed, apart from the two wrong decisions of LBW. But fair do's to the aussies they stick at it.
England women are like the Pak men team where they can't beat their nemesis in world cup cricket.
Still no names or teams being spoke of yet.....the sooner they name & shame this lot the better because as each day goes on, those not involved are being tarnished with the same brush.....and when they do name them...kick them out, none of this counciling garbage, they knew what they were doing the rotten to the core mongrels....
