Is Billy the make or break at forest?

I personally think that Fawaz will still want to vett any signings, there are very few, if any, chairmen who just give the manager a budget and say 'buy who you want and pay them what they want'. The vast majority want some sort of value for money.
Billy made mistakes with some of his signings and with some of the players he wanted the board made mistakes not persuing them when we were very close to promotion.
One of the problems before was probably that he had to put his case for players to too many people, now it will probably just be the chairman he has to convince.

my mate thinks Fawaz will sell up if they don't get it, as FFP starts next season.

That's it then! Despite Fawaz signing BD up for 3.5 years, your mate knows everything and the al Hasawis are only in it for this season.

Could just be wishful thinking on his part

Good point to be honest

Billy is there for the cash, nothing else. This unfinished business is boIlocks and any thinking forest fan knows it. Billy is seeing the Goose that laid the golden egg. His loan signings will be mercenaries too. I expect to see Forest in decline within a month with big names taking the cash with no hunger. Forest fans will be fuming.

Al-Fackwit should never of sacked SoD.

Why are so many derby fans so animated about Forest's appointment of a "bad" manager?

There haven't been so many unlettered rants on these boards for quite some time.

What's an 'unlettered rant' Tonto?

One where you remove the condom you wear over your head first before typing?

Incidentally, you can buy registration number NLN 279 from the DVLA. I think it would be right up your street.

It's the nazel inflation that's the problem nowadays. On or off I still end up with a face full of gue.

SOD was only given a 12 month contract, Alex McLeish was also on a short term contract, so why has Billy got himself a 3 and a half year deal I wonder.

...........................................

I think your friend may be fictitious, or a bit of a móng. SoD was given a 3 year contract, and AmC was given a 3.5 year contract.

In the light of these facts this article is rendered pointless.

Wumming is an art form, you I am afraid have no talent; this follows hot on the tails of your attendance article a short time ago:

Mid-term report: Must try harder

Isn't it brillant that our neighbours have such concern.

BD, as most know, is not my first choice. However, I have also stated that he isn't a bad manager at this level if he keeps his mouth shut when things go wrong.

Our sheepy friends are causing concern. Some may end up in rehab if this infatuation with appointing the right manager (or wrong in their eyes) continues.

They say they worry for us but hang on.....

We all know AM was not the answer but they were happy for him to be here. Surely they don't want us to do well?

Small town, no news.......that's Derby

Actually starting to get bored with the soap opera down the A52. Now prepared to see how the rest of the season pans out. Effectively I would say there is one play off place up for grabs as Boro are in freefall. Personally I think it will go to Brighton.

Not attendances again Strett!

Used to be their pet subject but alas, no more free tickets. We all know that the sheep don't like to talk about it now.

Small town, no news: all 578 London clubs together have had less managerial changes than Forest this season

It's fewer, not less 666

Such comic talent is rare Strett, truly rare.

And Vidal's so upset that King Billy has come home that he's been reduced to banging on about VD!

Welcome back Billy!

Clough in!!

Davies was available when Mcliesh was appointed so its obvious that BD wasnt Fawaz's first choice.

Mcliesh got a contract till the end of the season and Davies has a 3 and a half year deal?!? Strange

Cluless chairman springs to mind

Always linked with all the good jobs is Billy.

Wonder how many jobs have come and gone in that time, and why no one wants to get such a fine chap in to be their manager. Ain't that peculiar?
