i am amazed that i am the only one to object to an earlier suggestion that 1 in 10 people are gay.. thats just an absolutely ridiculous stat

8bit,

I wouldn't bother, people like Dubbed are utter hypocrites. They will believe in science if it benefits them but if it challenges their archaic and outdated beliefs, they get their tinfoil hats out

dont know tbh chronic im not that bothered, i wouldnt imagine its that many

"personally i am very anti the idea of homosexuality. that said, if people wanna be gay then fine, let them, as long as they dont do it in my face then i have no problem with it."

"No, I just don't care enough about the subject to waste my time trying to change your opinion. But if you want to know then there is a huge amount of evidence easily available for you."

Tbf when I said 'enlighten' me, I wanted you to expand on your ludicrous comment. Didn't expect you to take it it literally.

You change my opinion? I don't take your footballing opinion serious, what makes you think I'd take tips from you on life?
Don't get ahead of yourself.

Chronic, government stats think its 5 to 7%, although census said about 1.5%, that is possibly under reported though

If 1 in 10 is gay I think I'd have come across more than 5 gay ppl day to day life.

posted on 15/2/13

i would imagine its more than 1 in 100, there must be more than 600,000 gay people in britain

What? I agree with science on many things. But when it goes to the big bang, and stuff like that, I switch off. I just can't take people like that serious.

Nice of you to dismiss my religion and label it "archaic" and "outdated".

Ironically, it is idiots like you who are the biggest hypocrites, as I've already explained.
Here you are insulting people's religion, just cause I don't agree with your view.
Jog on.

fab, they think there may have been methodological flaws in the question, there are a lot of people who don't understand terms like hetero- and homosexual

But when it goes to the big bang, and stuff like that, I switch off.

That may go some way to explaining why you don't believe it. If you don't listen your not really going to be informed

No. It's probably cause I've come across it so many times.
Sounds more ridiculous every time I hear it.

I see the waste of Sir Mex is giggling in the background like a little b;itch.
Come and face me like a real man, instead of hiding behind another.

it's nothing to do with dismissing or insulting your religion, that comment was squarely aimed at you and there are plenty of religious people who will also think your views are archaic.

As for the science comment, I doubt you have the ability to adequately appraise a scientific experiment or recognise methodological flaws. The inconsistency you display in saying you 'switch off' validates my hypocrisy hypothesis

Theories like 'The Big Bang' and evolution have strong foundations of scientific evidence. Of course these things will always remain conjecture, much like religion, as neither can be proved (IMO), but I believe it is more rational to believe in science than religion. It just makes sense to me. I think maybe if you gave it the time to actually listen to it Dubbed, you may appreciate that it's far from nonsense.

what always amazes me is the willingness of people to believe that a man walked on water and turned water into wine and than a 900 year old man got 2 of every species including over a million species of insect, yet they wont entertain evolution that has been scientifically proven

If you instill the fear of going to hell into people then they'll believe pretty much anything.
