I think it stinks the manner in which Vievers has been treated.
If he wasn't getting the wins at Leeds or Wigan then fine...sack him.
But the board and owner need to stand by their coach when he has only got a hand-ful of talented players mixed with players trying to make a go of it.
Veivers can only work with the cattle he has got....
Even if (big if) Salford were successful in signing the likes of Tomkins, that doesn't mean they will be a semi finals team over night.....the coach needs time to blend a team together and bring in certain players each year to make up a squad capable of being competitive week in, week out.
