Jungle Bhoy - never met you or your Dad, but when I saw your OP, I got that horrible feeling in my stomach.

I feel so sad for you and I know what it is like to lose a father you love. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

RIP Jinky

Jungle.....really sorry to hear that...I had the sense it was bad for your dad but was hoping he would pull through.

Looks like he passed away on Good Friday...which means he's in very good company as he seems to have been for much of his life.

One wee idea for you...if there's a eulogy at the funeral or a wee biography or something like that..please post it on here.

That might be hard but I'm sure all of the lads would like to read it.

Keep your chin up mate.

Jungle,

I am really sorry to read your sad, sad news.

As someone posted earlier I have never met Jinky but feel as tho I know him so well through these boards. IMHO a truely honest, fair and thoroughly decent upstanding man. The world this morning is a poorer place with Jinkys departure.

Jungle, I know its only words but please let me offer my sincere heart felt sympathies to you and your family.

God bless RIP Jinky

Gutted for you and your family Jungle. Jinky was a bastion of virtue in these boards and had that uncanny ability of uniting both sides of the divide. Enjoyed many a debate with Jinky on here and the previous forum as well.

His post about the early warning system he had in place allowing him in ja606 which in effect was a neighbour looking out for Mrs Jinky returning from the bingo still brings a smile to my face.

It's going to be a tough period coming up but just remember the good times of which immsure there were many.

RIP Jinky.

Hi Jungle

Devastating news mate.

Your Dad was truly one of the best on here and I’m sure the same will be said for his real life activities.

Even through this medium I could tell without doubt he was very proud of you and having had the pleasure of meeting you I can wholly agree and understand why.

I’m sure the coming days and weeks will be hard for you and your family but look back on his life with pride, as I’m sure he would have wished.

Your Dad and I had many a good chat on here and on a personal level I will miss his wit, wisdom and sensible attitude to life on a football forum.

God bless Jinky

So sorry for your loss Jungle - all of us on here will feel it at least a little - your dad was a really nice guy, and a good poster, and is missed.

I wish you and your family all the best in supporting each other through the difficult days ahead - these are the times when the love in families can become stronger. I hope that is what you find, along with some of the peace your dad now has.

RIP Jinky, and God Bless.
