I hope arsenal get second for the simple reason they have produced some of the best teams and best football over the past few years without spending obscene amounts of money..also gareth barry plays for city, his transfer fee and wages are without doubt vulgar in the extreme.. workaday player for 18 million and 125k a week, madness...

btw, I don't personally like wenger but being likeable isn't the priority for successful managers..
thinking about it most premier managers are not overly pleasant people and are too full of their own importance..

Can't see us winning two more games, let alone the three needed for absolute security.

After yesterday's result; I'm pessimistic about our chances. Two down in 10 minutes! On the other hand, we kept a clean sheet for 85 minutes.

Joking aside; our new-look defence which many fans think is better than 'the old guard' are shipping two goals every/most games. That means we need to score at least three. Without SEB, this is nigh on impossible.

Cassidy was seen as the great hope. Unfortunately he has not impressed in the chances that he has had. Dicko looked like a lost child against blouse, albeit playing up-front on his own, so I don't see him getting the necessary goals.

Two wins should/could see us safe; but where will they come from?

Depressed in Cyprus.

I hope Wolves stay up..but our visit there next saturday could prove pivotal ,if it ends up a draw both clubs could be left behind as a gap of 4 points or so, with 4 games to play is very difficult to make up.

If Sheff Wed and Barnsley win on Tuesday there will be a 3 point gap between the 5th bottom and the next club..although I'm hoping both will lose .

If Leeds don't pick their ideas up, and they have a crunch game with Wednesday next w'end, they could be in the bottom 6.....

For me though, the Wolves games is a must win now if we are to stand any chance of creating a bit of distance..and then on the following Tuesday Town go to Blackburn....

Whatever happens, I would love to see Stoke go down.

Be interesting to get Huddersfield fans' opinions on your managerial change too. We've had a few recently and it hasn't really served us well. Think you're worse off now than you were when you made the change in terms of league position? Have you seen other changes off the pitch which hint at a rosier future as a result of your switch?

I think the sackings of Lee Clark and Simon Grayson were the right decisions, albeit they were made too late. Clark should have gone after the Old Trafford defeat..and Grayson should have gone in early December.

Our problem has been the choice of replacement...ok Grayson got us promoted (by a fluke of a penalty shoot out) but he was allowed to bring in a load of duff players (Beckford being one of them) who we are now stuck with. and the season imploded from the end of October and we've dropped from 5th to 21st.

The delay in appointing Robins was ridiculous, and what was even more ridiculous was we advertised, got 60 odd applications...short listed 6 or 7...interviewed...then appointed someone who didn't apply for the job !!

Sadly, Robins wasn't allowed to bring in any new blood..so he has basically inherited the same problem Grayson had...the pieces of the jigsaw don't fit...and no matter who tries to put them together..it simply don't work.

So while I'm disappointed in Robins, in the sense he has only succeeded in taking us from 18th to 21st, I'm more disappointed in the Chairman for pocketing the £8m Rhodes money and trying to do the Championship on the cheap with loanees and unknown Scottish 3rd rate players...

Said it all before, re about doing it on the cheap , it's all deans fault, all of it .

Not saying Deano is a bad Chairman/Owner as such...just he's fluffed his lines a fair few times...can't hide from that.. I want him to stay, but to learn from his mistakes...and maybe talk to more of the fans as well, instead of just the same old fans he meets at the same old venues every couple of months...

When is he going to venture out to Holmfirth ?
