Respect her for actually getting to where she did, but by god her politics were awful.
Can't help but respect her personal achievements but I am very much opposed to her politically.
Still R.I.P and my thoughts are with her friends and family...
No feelings for that evil woman
Didn't really display any of the virtues or qualities we see, or associate with a proper strong woman.
Just a vile heartless piece of work without the ability to display empathy, or real caring for the ordinary people of the country.
Devicive, and destructful policies that laid waste to our manufacturing, and industrial base.
Sold off everything she could get her hands on, and as a consequence we pay the inflated prices from private companies who were told would drive prices down due to competition.
Gone, and won't be missed by millions who suffered under her rule.
Why was she evil you pillock
people like Maria Hindly are evil
Guess we are all lucky that your such a Saint
Still R.I.P and my thoughts are with her friends and family...

Did you actually sit and think about the friends and family of the deceased. Or are you just being polite?

Thatcher did tell the navy to sink the Belgrano, despite it moving away from battle, and being out of the war zone... Killing 323 people according to wiki. Personally I'd see that as evil...

The only one I know by appearance is her daughter and she did flash up in my mind for a fleeting moment...
If I am commenting on someone's death it is the people close to them that I feel for as the one who dies (as far as I am concerned) is gone and doesn't feel any more.

Who feeds you all this crap.
Had you have actually been alive during the Thatcher years, you wouldn't talk such sh ite.
The Thatcher years were some of the most prosperous the country ever had, and she didn't put the country into massive debt to do it.

Was a nice prosperous country if you weren't being screwed by her.

They started the war. Don't get all soppy because she didn't back down to their aggression. I'd have made the same decision in her shoes. I'm not evil, I'm pragmatic. An example needed to be made; that the UK will do whatever it takes to defend our interests against foreign invaders.
Thatcher was the greatest PM since Churchill. She wasn't afraid to upset people to do what was best for our country. Some will never appreciate her achievements, and there definitely seems to be a North/South divide when it comes to her politics.
Oh dear.

That's not even a comeback.

I refuse to accept shooting and killing anyone, enemy or not, whilst they are outside the war zone, and retreating is "pragmatic".

There is a difference between not supporting the defence of the Falklands and questioning whether a ship was within the battlefield or not.

No government is going to please all the populace, are they? Think about it.
She obviously got the majority of approval from the masses, as they re elected her twice.
Breaking the backs of the Trade Unions was the best thing that ever happened to the UK.
Great shame Blair lat them back in.

There's no such thing as 'outside a warzone/battlefield' in war. Take prisoners after a surrender, sure. Let a valuable enemy asset escape to fight another day? No. They should have white flagged if they wanted to surrender.
