Never lived through her reign, but I want to know people's views on her banning all English clubs from Europe.
She lived to ripe old age, for which her children must be thankful for, beyond their obvious feelings of grief today.
I'll leave it at that.
She only ever did one good thing that I know of....and that only happened at lunchtime today.

I have noticed a strong north/south divide in comments today, though.

Good riddance I say, great news
Quite amusing really that CNN 'accidentally' ran the story with a picture of her and her great friend and one of her main advisers Jimmy Savile. At least there's some truth on the mainstream news today. Oh what fun they must have had in their 11 consecutive New Year's together around the fire at Chequers with, as Jimmy said, 'slippers off'!
And then her government put good old Jimmy in charge of Broadmoor. Marvelous!
Still a lot of people like her because she started a war over a little set of islands to win an election. And people moan about politicians <facepalm> Still her other good mate Pinochet would have approved.
She may have just been a puppet for the bankers, like all PMs, but she started a lot of stuff that Blair continued and consolidated, and then Brown, and now Cameron. Our country lies in tatters as a result. There's no such thing as party politics - it's a charade. If it wasn't they'd out the paedophiles from the other parties, you'd think eh?!
I boldly predict that, just like Uncle Jimmy, the truth will only out after a glorious funeral paid for by the state. How shocked people will be, just like Jimmy. 'Oh we never knew'. And perhaps Esther Rantzen will go on TV again in tears and say how awful, she tricked us all, we all thought she was wonderful.
Oh no we didn't you toothy old mare!
Right, I'm off to the pub to celebrate with the rest of the country who aren't taking in the propaganda that is TV 'news'.
I hope her body's being carefully looked after. Not in the Jimmy Savile way of course...
as someone who grew up during her leadership i always thought she was the "marmite" of politics, you either loved her or hated her.
opinion on her is as divided today as it was when she came to power.
i have sympathy for her family (even though she showed little sympathy for others during her reign)they have lost a mother and grandmother.
but i shall not shed any tears.
Yep charming family. Here's an article on her father, from a time when the press in this country still had some balls.
Nice guy. Powerful local man who molested young ladies.

I, too, reckon some pretty interesting stories will out in the near future about her. It's only a slight pity that she won't be around to see the backlash.
Same with Saville, dying knowing that he'd conned so much of the country.
i never said they were charming bud, Mark is not a nice person from what i can gather. Carol seems ok,but i dont actually know her of course.
the point is,today their mum died.
i can afford them a little sympathy, but thats about it.
ad hoops - didn't mean to imply you found them
charming mate, that was my comment
By all accounts Carole held little love for her mother and rarely bothered even visiting.
Too busy going on TV calling black tennis players 'golliwogs' and then refusing to apologise.

As for Mark, I'm not sure he's had much time for her either in between trying to stage coups in foreign countries and building up his tens of millions in offshore bank accounts.
Plenty more to come out about them both too I reckon
Right, beer beckons
Hundreds gather in Glasgow for 'party' to mark Thatcher's death

I should really look at what's happening in Liverpool tonight. No doubt there'll be something similar to the Glaswegian party.
There's a party in George Square as we speak
Thatcher deserved a prolonged, painful death, that is the only disappointment about this great day
