McLaren back on top would be nice.

If they can keep improving at the rate they did between Australia and Malaysia they they'll be in with a shot.

Have to disagree somewhat. The Merc result in the last race flattered to deceive. The RB's were holding back, we lost Alonso on the first lap, and over all if you ignore the spat between Vettel and Webber it was a pretty uneventful race. The Mercs finished in 3th and 4th due more in part to the other main contenders dropping out or simply not going into the race with a decent strategy.

McLaren are another team who look very weak. Sure they qualified well last timeout but ultimately finished badly if judged on their standards. Not sure 3 weeks is enough to fix their problems, and without track time to properly test the car I don't see much changing.

Alonso will most likely lead the charge to fight against the RBs, but he's in a lesser car. That said his skill keeps him in the hunt.

Normal service to resume in my opinion. RB followed by alonso, Mercs and Kimi to battle for the 4,5,6 spots,
McLaren(Button) and Mass may get in amongst them but won't challenge for a podium.

However, thats a perfect world. We can't guess at what will happen with crashes and or failures etc etc The weather in China could play its part. The new tyres are having a major effect on the outcome where the fastest cars are not going as fast as they are capable with the view of saving the rubber blaa blaa
(hope that changes!!! )

It will most likely all turn on its head and something unexpected will keep us watching and we will end up with a surprising podium! Which is not a surprise because it always happens LOL

I expect a performance from the ferraris. Mercedes were excellent at China last year too and could have finished 1-2 if schumi's wheel was properly attached.

Sadly the finger will run away with this one barring any disaster

Mclaren say they've solved the car problems. What about their driver problems, strategy problems and pit crew problems

They work fast at Woking Just a shame Hulkenberg isn't in the car with JB like he should be.

Exactly, Nico would bring some bite to that team. Now we have a tyre management specialist and a no grip excuse in the team.

Looked to me like all they had in Malaysia was pit crew problems, Daredevil.

And even then there was at least one other team that botched their stops even worse.

i have a funny feeling we are looking at a merc win on sunday , if i can recall the shanghai circuit has got one of the longest straits if not the longest strait on the calender ,
think the merc engine /kers combination might give them the edge at shanghai --

Tall and useless, even if McLaren have sorted out the issues with the car, they still have to deal with internal incompetence
