What about someone like Bray Wyatt, or maybe not someone like him but someone with a similar gimmick? Don't know how much NXT you watch but that could be interesting?

Nxt is great and full of potential. The problem is that many fans don;t want to give youth a chance - that's why there are no big superstars to get excited about because nobody wants to give them a chance. You only have to look at some of the responses on here. People think that a young superstar ending the streak would be bad - I think that it would finally give us someone to get excited about.
Plus, the scenario I presented it would mean that the streak has closure
All the talk of ending the streak is good but I'd like to see someone get a real attitude with it.
If someone came out and said "I might not win but neither will you" and then go for shady tactics like double countouts, giving taker weapons and egging him on to get him disqualified etc, that would be a good watch.
Someone who wants to end the streak by any means. Even if he doesn't win
Agreed. If done properly it could make someone's career indefinitely.
Only way to end streak, have cena win mitb keep until next year, have taker win rumble 2014, make taker vs whoever for the wwe title at wm,
At wm have cena lose world hw title match against again whoever, later in the main event have taker win the wwe title in a gruelling match against the wwe champ, whilst taker is celebrating have cena's music hit, cash mitb and take the streak
This way the streak can end but taker hold onto the fact that he never lost really at wm, and cenas career can go into a new direction too
The problem u have now, is that the E have pushed this streak to its upmost limit in terms of pallatability. As much as taker is a set in stone legend, human psychi needs new subjective pastures.
The character who ends the streak, would bear a huge weight on their shoulders. (But thats another article)
* new subjective pastures...and this need is an evolutionary thing, so things could get sour.
no no no..
this is all about money. when take can't do it at all and is in a zimmer frame (next year) AND he is desperate for moeny the the big name missing from that list above will come and end the streak.
i.e. the Rcck or John cena.

Once again we're in complete agreement. The streak has been over exposed to the point where ended it for the sake of practicality no longer hinges on the wrestler in question just pinning him anymore (that might've flown with Orton, Batista or Edge but it's not going to now) - which is why i had to continuiously counter your remarks about CM Punk being the best representation of all those who precedded him, when since mid last year all CM Punk has represented is the generic weasel wwe heel template which has been just as destructive to their company as the world champion body scout template.
We're a belligerent bunch the wrestling community, on the internet and elsewhere, whoever takes Undertaker's streak for practical means will have to deal with more pressure than Cena when it comes to being under the microscope. He'll instantly polarise crowds until he proves himself worthy of unifying them (something Cena hasn't managed in 10+ years). That's a big ask on any young star, particuplarly one who hasn't been let off the leash yet which at the present time includes all members of The Shield.
It would be different if someone like Kane beat him, that would divide opinion and be the end of it.

That's why my idea works - no one idividual would end the streak. The fallen would storm the ring (like they did at Rumble 94 in casket match) and in Triple Hs voice "end the streak, once and for alllll"
They should have used the Paul Bearer urn thing to distract the Undertaker during the match and Punk picked up a cheap win. Legacy of the streak would remain and it'd give Punk an opportunity to harp on about how he's 'the best in the world' again.

would it though ? That seems a ludicrous way to end such a feat

Metro, yr idea doesn't work for a complete different reason. Everyone has a different perception of the streaks prestige and merits (part of its excellence i'd say), for me personally the streak is made prestigious in large part due to the names it's amassed - have those very names band together ruins their individual starpower on the list to begin with, making their actions effectively worthless within this scenario.
As i said before on this thread, how insecure does it make them all look? You could pull it off with Kane as his character is almost built on a foundation of sibling jealousy, but the others would just come off as mentally weak for doing it.
