"Set 'em alight the Blue & White"
I sincerely hope that the attitude of "there will be 3 worse teams than us" has finally been laid to rest at the club..
More points will be needed than anyone ever "predicted" when lots were making "plans" for the games where we would "get" the points needed and others would "lose", etc etc..
In my opinion the 2 extra points "lost" on Saturday against the posh were the vital ones.. our ability to drop away in games and allow the opposition the freedom of our half finally nailed us..
The town players since have talked about fighting spirit and togetherness which hasn't been on view during games for sometime and definitely not for enough of the matches or for long enough in many games..
keep saying that bravery will get someone out of the sh-t and posh and Barnsley are showing it... barnsleys equaliser last night was a flukey one but at least someone had a shot after 90 odd minutes of a game they were never really in... Given the recent results we could easily get a couple of draws at Blackburn and wolves and still drop into the drop zone.. all due to giving away a very soft equaliser on Saturday..
I must admit my heart sank after that goal.. you are where you deserve to be after this many games, luck of either type isn't a factor and we haven't done enough in game after game for the "better luck" to start outweighing the other sort..
The points we needed and could have got were at Bolton and on Saturday, we failed, again...I really cant see them getting more opportunities on Saturday or Tuesday than we made at Bolton and we still couldn't score or not make f-cking stupid , fatal errors at the other end..
I am no longer hopefull, we just don't have the players with the right attitudes and the manager is allowing to long to go in games where we don't produce anything much in the way of making a chance or two..
I have totally lost interest in sport in Huddersfield,,,,,, Town games are no longer fun, No laughs to be had any where in the stadium,, No end or section where one can meet up with like minded fans and have a crack and make a bit of noise,,,,,,I see Davy is moaning in todays paper that the crowds at the Giants games this season are not what he expected !!!!! fork me,, Are the two chairman of both the Towns clubs really that lacking in common ??? What do they expect,, Folk feeling the pinch financially turning up week in week out and being happy to pay over inflated entrance costs ??? forking get real,,,,,,,,,,, I aint been to a Town game since a dull draw at home, And i aint been to a Giants game since they were tonked by the Bulls,,,,,,,,,,,,, £20 plus to get in for either game !!! Nah, no vfm,, I wont be going again to either of the codes unless prices become more realistic and more affordable,,,, I certainly wont be alone in those thoughts.......
This weekend is absolutely massive for Town, I think we need to take 3points at least to keep us in with a shout of staying up. Although looking at the fixtures if you guarantee me a Hull win against Wolves then I'd take 2points from our next 2 games now which would leave us above wolves and posh who will struggle against 2 teams going for promotion/play offs.
I did the BBC predictor at lunch time, I tried to be as fair as possible, with the results predicted I had it to finish
Leeds 55
Town 55
Millwall 54
Blackpool,Blackburn,Wolves & Barnsley all on 53
Posh 52
Bristol 42
This season is torturous! Town to get 55 points! I would be happy having it still in our hands going into the Barnsley game!
Wethers, did your predictor include Town winning against Barnsley ?
did the last time you did a predictor include Barnsley losing at palace and Cardiff???
or us beating the posh???
predictors????
they can be unpredictable...
I just did the Predictor ...
.... we went down with 48 points.
I havn't predicted, I just hope it's still in our own hands come May 4th! If it's between us and Barnsley to go they must have a few more ambulances there as many will have heart attacks!
I would love it to come down to the Barnsley game.
They ruined the summer of 2006. Time for revenge.
Ha, champers, a 1-0 win at Oakwell then a 3-1 home defeat! . I would take it now champers, us or them on May 4th! Should be a 20,000 crowd too! Can't wait!
No way will the police allow a sell out for the Barnsley game , they will only allow Barnsley 500 tickets and they will have to travel on coaches from somewhere near Sheffield probley .
That bleedin' predictor ...
... We went into admin and started next season with a 15pt penalty - the wife left me for Arrolui and I got a job working. For 38 - slave driver he is. Worst of all, I move seats next to Jacko and have to listen too him droning on about when men were men and you could stand up at the back row of the Royal Ballet. I hung myself just as Town got relegated to league 2. Goodbye cruel world.
If only you hadnt tipped the buffet Noggy,,,, If you had waitedanother couple of years you may well have bore witness to Town transforming into a bigger version of a 90s Crewe !! ,,,,,,,, Or is that just wishful thinking ?
