Hey DIng,

Whilst I think you've been a little harsh to Munster for their win over Quins I did think Leinster would win this one comfortably.

Not seen the highlights yet, was it a good game?

i see God scored the winning try again

Ye sporty it was a good game.
Not a classic by any means. More of an epic arm wrestle. Munster in old fashioned form dominated the breakdown and lineout, mauled every chance they got and scored when they got the chance a good performance. POC was brilliant. Better than I have seen him in years and the Munster 6 and 7 were immense.

Ultimately the score does flatter Munster. There was a ridiculous TMO decision. One of the worst i have ever seen. Kearney grounded the ball it was on camera and the TMO said it was held up. You would have to have seen it to believe it. Incredible. Also Munster got 2 trys, but one was absolutely not a try. It wasn't converted so if u add 7 to Leinster for their try disallowed and reduce munsters score by 5 you would have a much clearer picture of how it actually went. 16 - 22 in the end. but do a little recalculation and it will look a lot different.

Yes Mex.
BOD scored the winner. After 20+ frantic phases he squeezed over from approximately 6 inches LOL but they all count, and when your back is against the wall Brian O'Driscoll is the man you want on your side! No No let me rephrase. He is the man you NEED on your side.

Anyway, ye was a good game over all, nail biting at times, certainly the Ref made some really dodgy calls but thankfully he was bad for both sides. The better team won in the end and thats really the only thing that counts. Leinster had more to gain from this fixture with regard the play off position in the Rabo, but it was a stern test for Munster and will help them prepare for Clermont.

There were a few weird TMO calls in the Sale v Gloucester match as well. Goes to show no matter how good the technology is it can still be undermined by human error.

I reckon POCs taken advantage of the injury time to get super fit because he looks immense right now and when you feel fitter than usual it can raise your all round game as well.

Well done Leinster, always good to see style win over structure!

only saw the first 25 minutes of leicester vs wasps this a'noon but leicester looked superb, i think its between them and sarries for the premiership this season

Yes Sporty, POC looks much bigger. He was never a small man, but he was a great jumper in the lineout, athletic etc. Carrying was always a mediocre part of his game but he has certainly put that right! He was making yards yesterday for fun! I was massively impressed! And from an Ireland point of view i was delighted! Also he's lost nothing in the jumping department of the lineout. Just as with Quins, he was immense! Munster dominated the lineout, and POC stole 2 or 3 leinster throws. Leinster had the edge in the scrum so in terms of set piece it was 1:1 but leinster ultimately had experience on their side epitomised by BOD ground-hogging his way over the line after over 20 phases of play. Also defensively Leinster were a bit better than last week, but they will have to fix the defense because its a weak area for them at the moment. BOD coming back in should help. As well as everything else, he's the defensive goto guy when leinster are under pressure.

Munster just didn't have any form going into this game. One good win against Quins does not make their season, which is why i knew Leinster would win it. Ok Leinster have not been vintage this year, but when they have a good team on the field, they always win, which has been their problem this year such was the crisis of injuries and indeed bans to key players. BOD and Healy LOL

Im still worried about Munster. I mean they were rubbish until POC came back. He's great but good enough to catapult them back to the top single handed? They are riding a wave of self belief right now. But in reality thats very temporary. I think clermont will savage them. Of course i don't want to see that but it looks ominous

Kearney was very poor all game. He showed great pace for his ''try'' but I actually dont think he grounded the ball. Got his hand caught underneath it and didnt ground it in my opinion.

Alright folks, how are we all?

leeds mate i watched in HD and i studied physics in university. if that ball didn't touch the grass then the world is upside down, black is now white, cats and dogs are raining in ireland and and the Germans now control Europe.... wait wait disregard the last one

Mate that was one of the clearest TMO coocck-ups i have ever seen. it was beyond stupid.Anyway. It didn't effect the rightful result, a leinster win, but if it had gone the other way then i swear i would have searched for the TMO and battered the bejaysus out of him. This is why the REFS jerseys are sponsored by "Specsavers" the irony is just classic! Cudos to the marketing man in Specsavers!

I did too and do engineering mate. I thought his chest was on top and wrist underneath and just couldnt get it out from there.

Agree that a leinster win was just and am a huge fan of Madigan. A very assured performance coupled with the fact he seems to have sorted his kicking. Seems very confident in the strike now.

What did you make of the O'Connell kick? Does it warrant a citing?

I don't think so mate. POC has done it before but to BOD and in an Ireland jersey, his own bloody teammate hahaha. Seems he just doesn't know where his feet are half the time. Don't think it deserves any punishment. But it was idiotic there is no doubt about that and so he should probably apologise and let that be that. These things happen.

You know leeds, the problem here having watched again a few times, is that it looks vicious. I'm Leinster through and through and i still don't believe that POC did this with any intent other than getting the ball but I reckon he might well be cited for sheer stupidity! Because regardless of intent. That was just brainless beyond belief and perhaps stupid stuff like that should be cited.

I think he should get cited to be honest, it may just have been foolish enthusiasm, but that was dangerous.

It was very dangerous aristo, reckless , stupid, hell any number of adjectives. But the results are in and he'sin not getting cited. One wonders about the upcoming game against clermont and what effect that had on the decision not to cite him. but such is life. Kearney is ok. POC is a good bloke we know that. It was indeed stupid but these things happen. So moving on. Of course if Leinster had lost you would be sure to see the knives out for him.

Thanks be to jesus that he isnt being cited. I really can't see Munster beating Clermont, but without Paul it would have been over before it started.

I didnt think we'd beat Quins either though so who knows.

I'm certain PoC didn't mean to hurt him. The fact the Leinster boys don't react tells you a lot as well. He's trying to kick the ball and totally stuffs it up.
