It used to be that the teams who were barely able to stay solvent were the teams that played ugly to survive. Stoke are making a mockery of that by pouring money in and getting the same results.
Pulis should go.
Don't forget some of his terrific signings: Kenwyn Jones for £8mil and £4mil for Walters..
I thought Walters was prolific at one point, for Stoke. It turns out he wasn't and he just used to score against Blackburn a lot.
We got £8m for Wilson
This article has changed my opinion on pulis. I hope he keeps stoke up and stays. Gallas, Ekotto and Ade need a new home, £20m should do

What is it with the hatred towards stoke?? They are a small club who have done really well to stay in the prem over a prolonged period and the money they have spent is all money they have earnt from staying in the premier league.
Yes they are a tough team however they play to their strengths and it is a different style which makes our league so exciting. How boring would it be if every team was a tippy tappy team like arsenal.
i dont like stoke because they sing oh when the spurs at totally the wrong tempo and it sounds ridiculous. and they dont sing it they shout it.
its also funny to see them go down, a bit like leeds

They did well in their first couple of seasons to stay away from relegation but since then Pulis has wasted £80m or so with no form of progress at all to show for it.
While teams naturally look to push on, Pulis refuses to adapt his tactics, playing the exact same negative football that limits his side to mid-table finishes each season.
It's fair enough playing to your strengths, but in Stoke's case their "strengths" are self-inflicted. If they're not good enough to play a passing game then it's because Pulis intentionally buys players that can't, not because they're a small club that lacks the resources. They've spent the 3rd most in the PL the last 5 years. And no it's not all money that the club has generated itself, a significant proportion of it is cash injections from the chairman who owns a large betting company.
I wouldn't say I hate Stoke, I hate Pulis' unambitious philosophy though. With the amount of money he's had at his disposal and the time, he should be playing better football and more importantly achieving better results.

Unlike renoog here, I openly hate Stoke City. Their manager, players, fans, stadium, style of play, tunnels, I mean EVERYTHING

A sinkhole that swallows their shìthole of a stadium and all their fans would be nice

This x 1000. All this apologetic rubbish about how they're playing to their strengths and punching above their weight is nonsense. If you spend nearly £20m on Kenwyne Jones and Peter Crouch then it's pretty obvious you only know one way to play "football".
That and the fact that they are cynical cheating dirty players to a man, yet hacking the crap out of better players because you can't compete fairly is apparently ok because "that's just the way they play"..
Oh and unlike renoog I do hate them. Genuinely despise them and their horrible little manager. Hope they fúck off back down to the lower leagues where they belong. They are an embarrassment to the top flight of English football.
If Stoke get relegated I'd call this a successful season, no matter where Arsenal finish.
Peter Crouch: Who will pay £10mil for a giraffe? Yes, you guessed it right only Pulis can pull this kind of transfer for a 30-year old, 2m striker.

And Redknapp. A few times. And again, if he can.

After watching Stoke struggle against 10 men today, it looks like they are definitely relegation material for next season. Tony Pulis looks like he has lost his grip on the team and seems to continually resort to touchline hysteria whenever an official's decision/non-decision is not to his liking!
Peter Crouch looked totally out of shape and totally out of touch with what was going on. I would be surprised to see Stoke bring him back next year!
Bye bye Pulis..
