I have no sympathy for any club who gets relegated no matter how big they might be,
when we got relegated everyone was laughing at us

to be honest superwhite, last nights "affair" at ewood park, never really threatened to turn into a football match..

the lack of any quality from both sides was particularly disappointing... you expect nerves and misplaced passes etc, its a relegation fight but both teams took the right royal p-ss out of that excuse..

fortune favours the brave and they had more players in our box during the "attacking" phases of the game than we had in theirs...

simple, came down to numbers..

.....?.
38,you now have a home game and win and a draw should be enough as I think most clubs getting 55pts stay up on championship.is beckford not fully fit as I would of thought he would be in starting line up because he knows where the goal is.would not mind McDermott bringing him back next season, players scared to make a mistake because how tight it is down bottom could of been why your game was not too good.mcdermott told players to go out with no fear and resulted in leeds dominating the game vs burnley playing entertaining football.

I think I read somewhere that the most points a club has been relegated with was 52 (Millwall and Leicester) - could be 55 this year, shows how evenly balanced this league is.

2020 it's true the record since 1992/3 is 52 points done twice.

I've just done the predictor Home wins for all.

Leeds lose all games remaining

WE are safe

THEN

Give Wolves away wins at Charlton & Brighton

Give Huddersfield away wins at Bristol City

Give Peterborough away wins at Pallace & Derby

Give Blackburn away win at Watford

WE GO DOWN ON 58 POINTS

Incredible unlikeley but still possible

2020 In season 2007/8 the points spread was close over the division. The difference between 6th and 22nd was only 18pts. a normal season spreads around 30 pts (last year was 39pts !!!)

I reckon it will be only 15 pts this year....a squashed up league !! I reckpon 69pts - 54 pts spread this year.

2007/8 season produced a very low Champ total of 81 !!

I could do without this sort of 'excitement' as you put it...it's blooming nerve wracking...Millwall at home Saturday lunchtime...and we don't really 'do' Millwall...they're niggly, dirty, spoilers who will get away with everything and sneak a late dubious goal...can see it now....

Evening PSD

I predicted 56 for us to be safe a few weeks ago after it became obvious 52 was going to be smashed. I'm horrified that relegation is possible on 58 points as I described above. I didn't put draws in at all. The six pointers, you would hope would save us, aren't there but there would be widespread shock results and I would be rich from predicting all those results

We should be ok or we deserve it anyway. BM will likeley get us in playoffs rather than relegate us.

Anyway how are you getting tables on Articles?

Old BBC HTML not working on here

Jacko, they are also a bogey side to us but we have beaten them home and away in our 3 seasons since promotion from L1.interesting to see only 2 clubs have gone down with as high as 52pts,I think who ever finishes 3rd from bottom will probably have as much as 54pts which unfortunately for that club would of kept them up in any other season.must admit I was getting a little worried up until last week.

Can't believe I did this, but compared the points spread using standard deviation of the last 10 seasons.

Unsurprisingly, this season looks like it'll have the lowest points spread, with only 2007/08 coming close.

Obviously will probably increase slightly after last 3 games.

....white,too many clubs below us having to play each other so they can't all win and they players and McDermott have saved us from any thoughts of a last day relegation.

I agree Just to be unbiased I gave us all defeats and then gave the few that were still below us the necessary points.

Real life and BMcD will save us.

Sol

And the average points bar for safety will be raised and playoff qualification lowered.

Poor Standard this year or high overall standard? Hard to say

its runny poo time!

Me being a pessimistic Yorkshire man I can see us drawing at the weekend, losing to Bristol City and losing to Barnsley!

52 points I'm afraid.

We were utter sh ite last night.

I can see Town losing all three games...

Our last 3 relegation fights...

2002/3 Drew 1 lost 2 going down at home to Birmingham on last day of season...relegated

2000/1 drew 2 lost 1...relegated

1987/88 lost all 3.....relegated

Interesting table of S. Deviations. I think that 07/08 will take some beating but this year the 6th place and 22nd place spread could be the lowest for many years. Fancy being Champions with only 81 points !!

White BL. Are you the original BL Leeds who got me started on all this games lark. !! If you are you also started me off on HTML. Shame on you

As for the tables I use I ended up getting help from Admin, (once they trusted what I was doing)
Admin have been a great help throughout.

Now Bristol are down I expect Huddersfield to claim all 3 points in that game. Then just 1 draw should secure safety, although as has been mentioned 55 points could go down and Hudds' goal difference does them no favours.

Yes PSD it's me, It took me about a year to come on here after 606. Though I am in your points challenge Championship at present I think.

Some of the usual tricks to make a table don't work on here and work prevents me having the time to do projections as they were but I read yours on the competitions anyway. Just on occasions I'm only able to read rather than log in.

I keep up the stats though and every so often come up with an article that would look better with a decent formatted table.

Jacko, 2002-03 finished with defeats at Port Vale & Stockport, and finished with a home draw with Oldham! 2000-01 finished with the Birmingham defeat.
