Thomas Andrews standing in the first–class smoking room staring at a painting, "Plymouth Harbour", above the fireplace, his lifejacket lying on a nearby table. The painting depicted the entrance to Plymouth Sound.

It's T20 and it's in India which equates to batsmen hitting world records.

Play it in England or Australia. T20 is ahït anyway IMO.

Why does cricket have 2 types of home run?

They have a home run if the ball hits the ground first and a home run if it doesn't, but the one that doesn't is worth more points (nothing to do with how many men on the bases, as it's usually two).

They only have two bases and they run from one base to the other all the time, for up to 5 days, and they stop for tea and talk in posh voices.

It's a bit freaky, even for us Europeans.

Why is it named after an annoying insect that makes noise? Does the noise generated by this "sport" annoy Europeans?

It's because both are monotonous enough to drive you insane.

i also noticed that they wear sweaters but if they get hot they take it off and give it to one of the umpires who then has 2 wear it 4 them

While I don't want to take credit away from Chris Gayle, he is a fantastic player! I just want to highlight something as apparently all you guys are not regular followers of cricket. Actually the team that Gayle was playing against comprised of two Indian frontline bowlers and by frontline I mean those two bowlers play regularly for Indian international cricket team. Now this factor made it relatively very easy for Chris Gayle to do this carnage, wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

That doesn't suprise me at all winning. Gayles knock is hampered by the dolly bowlers that he treated with distain. The IPL will be a better place with pie chuckers

I think you have a very limited knowledge in Cricket than me. Apparently, I saw a match on TV that's held in South Africa, a guy scoring 50 runs in 12 or 13 balls. Then I thought this is going to be fun if someone scores 200 runs in 20 overs..

Right Mafia my knowledge is not as much as yours. Actually I don't watch whats happening is SA domestic matches as I am not as much a die hard fan of cricket as you.

And on a serious note, Gayle has exactly done what he is asked for in this cricket tournament, so please if you are out to judge the whole sport of cricket then IPL is its last form that you should watch to form your opinion, and you know it already I am sure .

It need so much more skill than Baseball.
