I'd take him. He had a few bad months but he is class and will re-discover his form.
All players are for sale at the right price! Verm has gone from club captain to bench-warmer, he's hardly going to be happy with that long-term, so I'm not really surprised.

I am not surprised. Vermealen needs to be playing and he is not going to want to sit behind Mert/Kos.
He should stay and fight for his place.

How would Verm staying help? If we accept that Kos/Per partnership is our first choice? Verm has not looked good with Per or Kos. Surely buying a player who would compliment them is much better?
If he decides to take the easy way out and leave, then he will just prove to everyone that handing him the armband was a terrible idea in the first place.
Why would we take a loss on our captain when his contract has some time to expiry, and he is just going through some bad form? The news makes no sense whatsoever. I'm disregarding it

We pain 6 million for squqchi? Verm should not go under 15 million..he maybe out of form but he is solid defender.

Selling Vermaelen will not weaken us because we'll almost certainly sign a replacement, and he doesn't exactly have to be outstanding to improve us. Stop bit.ching about every decision the club makes.
In this case, we haven't even made a decision, you're just going by what the Sun are reporting.
