It might be last chance saloon for a lot of long suffering fans as well. If we don't go up this season, how many will renew tickets next season.
I don't think I could put up with another league one campaign. I could quite easily be tempted for a season ticket at Wigan. At least I'd get premiership football every week.
Last season was painful, at times. To see players like Gary Roberts and Joey G literally not giving a toss when it gets tough is heatbreaking.
I say I won't buy a season ticket every year , but I a
always end up with 1.
pick and choose my games next season if we are still in league one..
already thinking hard about certain away games this season..
some of the longer journeys, especially midweek are already looking iffy for me..
just can justify the time and expense anymore..
sad but true..
What would you do on a Sat though 38 to fill the void???
Surely Mrs 38 likes you out of the house!
exactly she does cos the gardener comes round to prune her bush haha
Are you saying the Gardener likes to fill a void too???
yeah he unloads his 'muck' into that deep hole!
Come off it 38 - you can't justify the time and EXPENSE anymore.
You've got your own company and no doubt run a free company car with fuel provided and have a generous expense allowance, which provides you with free meals when you are on your travels supporting Town and no doubt you can easily "wangle" your expenses to also cover the entrance fee and a program etc.
In short, it costs you nowt apart from your time to support Town.
You car sharing with Cryer again this season Mirf???
no mirf is the illusive gardener
He might have two jobs on next Sat then Tez!
One in Dewsbury
One near Kirkwood Hospice
but does he have the stamina to fulfill 2 jobs in one day??
If we don't go up this season we really will be knee deep in the brown stuff. Dean's already admitted that we pay more on player wages than pretty much every team in the league, and has said the salary cap would hit us very hard should we still be in league one next season. We'd basically be looking at wholesale changes to reduce the wage bill, having to bring in lesser players on lesser wages while taking a hit on finances losing players for very little because we basically have to sell them. Promotion is a must, or else it will be a complete re-build next season which would not be good...
cas i listened to the radio wednesday night too but cas ur panicking too much we are going up its a definate start the celebrations now!!
Cas, let's not get bogged down in all that sh@t at the moment. It's the start of a new season tomorrow. A fresh start and all that
Oh I'm confident, I think we'll run away with the league and I've said that since we signed Donaldo. A lot depends on the management getting things right and I suppose I'll just have to trust them, which I don't have an easy time doing...
cas none of us are tactically over confident. but im gonna try and feel confident that itll be a walk over. if theres no optimism then i dont see the point following them. we have the players to annihalate this league whether they believe in themselves and their ability is what it comes down to.
Too true Tez, too true! If you see a shirt with CASTLE - 9 on the back tomorrow feel free to buy me a pint eh?
I still owe you a pint Cas! Plus I know who you are now after your lass undressed me with her eyes at Sheffield !
Oh aye I saw that and that's why I moved her away hastily to buy her a pie before she made a move!
Well I'll be in Town, although god knows where, from 12ish, so just say ayup if you see the shirt!
Like the rest of you, its a crucial season. No excuses we have to do it. Afobe heading to Wednesday adds another twist. We have the consistancy to win it by 10 points. Hangover? No not for me!
Afobe turned Wednesday down..."Huddersfield Town the only team in Yorkshire".
bless 'im.
Has he def turned them down? Please bring him
Back clarky!
Cas, me and tez will either be in spoons or crown! Cheap and cheerful
Examiner article has it, wonder why he's not coming back to HTAFC if Arsenal were willing to let him go to lowly Wendies ?
