When I learn Belgique I will be sure to read that

Yeah i saw that this morning (newsnow chelsea) hope we have done the deal, and like you say a couple more in and we should be ok. What do you think of de brunye for the LW in comp with Malouda.

De bruyne looks talented but we wanted to loan him out when we tried to sign him earlier this season, so if we get him don't think he'll be in competition with Malouda at all, more likely come in to replace him next season

I often think with the younger players give them some game time with us till jan then loan if need be. Kakuta needs to step up abit now, i am actually quite dissappointed that he went to the under 20 world cup, i feel he could have impressed this pre-season and maybe had a better chance of first team action.

His agent and Anderlecht's Herman Van Holsbeeck are meeting chelsea today, i don't think he agreed a deal yesterday if the agent is there today, but i expect the deal to be done.

The problem with Anderlecht is that they want more money to reflect what is the true value of the player AFTER they give money to lukaku's family, that should be their problem in essence we would have to part with more money than we should because they made a stupid deal with the father.

Anderlecht can't afford not to sell Lukaku, like Wigan with N'Zogbia, even if it was just for 15 million that's still alot of money for them.

Anyway this would be a great signing. Hope it's true. What do you think the deal will be LSTD?

it seems its a five year contract for lukaku, i think it will be 18m cash fee or undisclosed

good deal for us and good deal for them, they have his brother who will take his place next season anyway and theyve been able to sign jovanovic so they get a good player for the belgian league

Can we not offer Anderlecht a couple of part used squad players we don't need now as part of the deal

worth a try surely

Anderlecht don't have high a high enough wage budget. Our deadwood is on 80'000+ probably and Lukaku is one of the highest earners in the Belgian league on 35'000 a week.

I like everything I´m hearing from Lukaku in this link:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/940092/anderlecht-striker-romelu-lukaku-ready-for-chelsea?cc=5739

Sounds like a well balanced, intelligent kid and is ready for the challenge ahead should he join Chelsea.

Also with Drogba having a season or two left in him it´s the right time for Lukaku to come to Chelsea so that he can learn from Drogba and then be ready to take his place in the coming seasons.

Does anyone else think that our youth is coming on very nicely indeed?

Sturridge
McEachran
Bertrand
Romeu
Piazon
Lukaku

Agreed Superb, that's not even counting the talented younger players in reserves/goalkeeperslike Lalkovic Deen Conteh, Chalobah, Pappoe, Kane, Blackman, Delac, Rajkovic, Courtois etc.

or kakuta. who imo will still be the best, wingers just develop slower than other players generally

Well Lukaku speaks 4 languages,so he must be intelligent

Lukaku: "I am waiting very calmly for the phone call that will tell me everything has been agreed between the clubs."

i speak 4 languages can i play upfront for us :D

I hope you´re right but personally I´m not holding my breath over Kakuta.

i just think he needs the freedom to express his self like he gets in the french youth set up, at the under 19 world cup he was player of the tournament and hes been very good in the under 20s and next year he will be in the under 21s so hes preogressing at the normal rate for french youth.

i think under AVB he will be allowed to move around the field which is what he wants to do and use his pace and skill

Everywhere you turn, every source you look into all say the same thing about Lukaku. That even at 18 y/o, he's one of the most mature, balanced and intelligent indivividals in the sport.

WELCOME TO CHELSEA!!!!

you have to feel sorry for any team who has to play against drogba and lukaku at the same time. Then with the possibility of facing torres at some point. Scary thought when all 3 are on form.

LSTD - sounds good..... Also Sturridge will be wanting to impress the new boss, good times I think!!

If we also manage to get de Bruyne we could be looking at this in 4 years:

-------Sturridge-----Lukaku------de-Bruyne-----

posted on 5/8/11

--------------Romeu
----Piazon/Modric---Mcechran
Sturridge----Lukaku------Kakuta/De Bruyne

Kalas another top youngster based on under 19 tournament and pre season. Rajkovic, Bertrand, Van Aanholt, Chalobah. Some top draw defenders. Good keepers too. We are looking sorted

Not too mention the under 15s, the generation after Mcechran lukaku ect are destroying every team in their path.

Bright things to come :D
