shane warnes strike rate is 57. Your digging a bigger hole for yourself Mafia boy.. For such great players of spin bowling. Swann was the best spinner in India last winter.
---
Shane Warne played against the elite batsmen (in their prime) in the world (in the last 3 decades) who scored more than 10k runs, such as, Lara, Tendulkar, Chanderpaul, Kallis , Dravid and Inzamam-ul-Haq.
Swann hardly even gets a bowl. Due to the England bowlers skittling teams out cheaply.
--
Let's take away last two Test series and have a look at how many overs he bowled.
52 overs in 2nd inns @ oval vs SA
24 overs in 1st inns @ Lords vs SA
47 overs in 3rd inns @ Lords vs SA
And in Australia
43 (2nd), 8 (4th), 29(1st), 41(3rd), 16(1st), 9 (3rd), 2(1st), 27(3rd), 16 (1st), 18 (3rd) overs in the last Ashes tour.
Your myth " he hardly even gets a bowl" busted.
yeah that old chestnut.. if England have great players the other teams are poor.. You are wrong on Swann.. Moving on..

Without James Anderson, English bowling attack is on par to Aussies..
..............
Maf,
Good to see you know naf all about cricket, as well.
I see mafia's comments on the cricket board have gone from shocking wumming attempts to quoting cricket stats!
Genuinely shocked, What brought about this turn around? Are you actually interested in cricket now or are you just posting trying to antagonise again?
Davidoff
Whatever I said in the past about Cricket is nothing but true. And about stats, if I don't know the stats then I wouldn't be come to those conclusions, would I?
Vidicshyt, I see you are still developed any brain cells yet.
englandwhoelse, I might be wrong. But, that's what I feel about England bowling.
Vidicshyt, I see you are still developed any brain cells yet.
..................
Can you please give me a version of this that is in English?
mafia, you are an idiot, plain and simple.
Let me spell it out - Aussie top four bowlers 303 wickets, England top four bowlers 810. Just looking at those stats you can plainly see which team has more experience and more know-how.
Arthur is just trying to wind up England. And it will all come falling down round him in a couple of months like McGraths prediction that Australia would win the Ashes 5-0 last time!!
maf
Does your mum still make you wear shorts to school?
Idiot?
Did you read what I said? Without Anderson, England team is on par to Australia....
And did you read what i said? take Anderson out and we are still a couple of hundred wickets ahead of 'em

When you are at it, can you tell me the number wickets English bowlers took in the 2005 Ashes team put together prior to the competition?
Vidicshyt, stop stalking me you brain less amoeba..

whats that to do with ANYTHING? Its eight years later and we have kinda moved on! I'd love you to tell me so I can explain the inadequacy of your reply

As you claimed, having more wickets makes English bowling superior to Aussies, I just wonder how many wickets you were better off against Oz in 2005. Now, could you answer my question.

This makes a lot of sense.
Even though they had less wickets than the aussies that 2005 attack was seriously on form prior to that series. The current aussie attack is anything but on form mafia.
Pakistan have a better all-round bowling attack than Australia.

So does England and South Africa.
Exactly. South Africa and England are miles ahead of everyone. I think people need to remember Mickey Arthur said "all-round" bowling attack. Nowhere near the best in the world.
I rate the likes of Pattinson and Starc they have the potential and I believe will come good for Australia one day. But currently they are nowhere near the best. Nowhere near.

I agree to your comment. Having said that, Ashes are long series, if you keep bowling in right areas for the first Test then you can prolong it to rest of the series. And also, England are playing a lot of Cricket at present, a small injury to main bowler, Anderson would put a lot pressure on the rest.

Well every one thought India's bowling attack not a unit at all. See what they have done. Similarly things could change for Oz too.
