Think Wenger thinks the same thing, that is the problem.

Arsenal won't sign big players at eye-watering prices until Wenger signs a new contract.

hi D4. it's quite weird to see you discussing footy.

Evening.

What is your view?

tbh with u i dont think Arsene has got the money to spend on top players, all this we got 70m to spend is all Bollockssssssssssss and we shouldnt have fallen for it in the beginning

You know that when Gazidas says it, it must be bullsheet. I mean there's nothing more stupid than announcing you're loaded to every shop in the world just before you walk in to spend your birthday money

70 million can get you.

Higuain 25m
Cesar 3m
Felaini 20m
Subotic 20m

Been over this too many times d4, can't be bothered to go into detail again.

I'm pretty sure we'll see a change this summer, I've already said I think we'll break our current transfer record at least twice and sign a couple of top, top players. In previous years we've had an excuse, not this year.

Pre-season has already started, business should be done already, too much dawdling, might miss out on there main targets.

What is taking so long?

posted on 14/7/13

Nope. Loads of teams get their business done late July/early August. It can happen anytime tbh, dunno why we always leave it too late. Penny pinching probably. But there will be change this summer, we'll sign a couple of big players.

Higuain 25m will Wenger spend 25m on him?
Cesar 3m we were never in for him.
Felaini 20m nor we werent in for him.
Subotic 20m havent a clue about this guy.

Dortmund central defender.

These are the players I would be after if I were in Wenger's position.

He makes the same mistakes every year with his signings.

Fellaini is an overrated donkey. I wouldn't pay 20m for him.

Subotic is not a realistic target, plus I wouldn't pay 20m for him as CB isn't an area we need to heavily invest in.

Cesar is dogshi.t

Arsenal lack strength and steel down the middle.

Vermalen, not the player he once was, they need a top centre.

Need a powerhouse in the centre of midfield.

Had goalkeeper problems for a number of years now, Cesar is proven quality.

Higuain poacher striker that could get 20 goals plus a season.

It really depends on your classification of felidae. The swift and spotted leopard was produced by the adultery between a lioness and a pard, and as is often the case in such unions, the progeny inherited the deficiencies rather than the virtues of the progenitors. Therefore, it is unlikely the leopard possesses the capacity to change its spots. If however you mean the panther, your hope might have greater likelihood of fulfilment. The panther is an ingenious animal: multi- coloured, handsome and gentle, and (as his name implies) a friend to all other animals but the accursed dragon (his only enemy). When he roars, he exhales a sweet odour which draws all animals to him except the dragon; contrastingly the dragon retreats to his hole and lies stiff with fear, as if dead.

The one with spots on.

Those are all stereotypes D4. Vermaelen is a backup player for us, he doesn't start anymore. Koscielny is one of the best CBs in the country and Big Per is a great partner for him, we don't need a first choice CB, just a backup one.

We could get better players than Fellaini for 20m, far better players. Gustavo, Kondogbia etc.

Cesar is well past it, he was a joke at times for QPR last season. He's not made for the GK, good shot stopper but physically not good enough. Too weak.

Higuain would be a good signing. We could end up with him

Cesar played great for QPR last season, won them points by himself.

Fellaini is proven in the premiership.

Need more than two good centrebacks to challenge for silverware and not completely sold on Per.

Think I will make a Mayweather vs Pacquiao article for some payback tomorrow. Why Mayweather is way superior to Manny. That will teach you for wumming my team. If you want to wum D4 go on the Tottenham, Mancs and chaav boards. They will love to have you.

Cesar was still settling in at the start of the season.

He had some stunning performances with QPR.

And is one of the best keepers in the world.

"His football philosophy is idealist, he has his style and doesn't change for no one or for any reason.

He his a man of principles and rules that are steadfast, he like order."

As I say, you can't make that assessment unless you're privy to Wenger's thoughts. Although, past transfers and even current reports (Suarez, Higuain etc) suggest Wenger is willing to splurge when required.
The dealings of the club are negotiated by the likes of Gazidis and Law, so if there is an unwillingness to spend, it more than likely stems from the boardroom.

I'm still shocked by the amount if posters that still have the mantra if "it's not wenger, its the board holding back funds"
even tho the man has stated several times if he wanted a player he could get him,
rem the list if players who wanted to sign according to him,and his bosses have for a while now stated the money's there,
and lets not forget the biggest proof of the lot, that he has spent money, loads if money,do you think wenger pays bentdner out if his own pocket?.
Plus,I thought this was the window that the AKB crew were waiting to prove us all wrong?
