With my Derby hat on, i'd rather it's not Legz... he's a good guy to have as #2 this season, what about the out of contract Steve Simonsen or Nicky Weaver?

I hope the keeper is better than tonight . mickleover sports thumped us 4-1. As I have said before GR and KS has some work to be done with the Brewers.

Target is a Premier League keeper on loan according to the Burton Mail

Interesting news at long last , Gary has three players he is aparently targetting and should he not be successful in signing them there are more players on his radar!! . I still dont like this sort of preparation it leaves you concerned as to the sort of start to the season you are going to have, maybe im out of touch with how transfers are done in the close season ,with players waiting to see who might make them the best offer,.contracts are sometimes not up until the end of July etc . Anyway stern test coming up on saturday , this will be as hard as it gets , i would go with five at the back and four in midfield my team would be LYNESS DELAP ,EDWARDS HOLNESS SHARPS , McCRORY , then PALMER WEIR ,BELL , HUSSEY , with HOWE as a lone front man subs .NEW KEEPER ? , MACDONALD, DIAMOND , KEE , DYER, SYMES ,REID your thoughts lads ??

Two local Premiership keepers who wont be first choice and could be our man are : Luke Daniels from WBA who has previously been loaned out to Southend and Shrewsbury or a real bit of buisness if he gets this man Jack Butland Stoke City who is second or third chioce ?? i cant quite see it myself but he did get loaned out to Cheltenham whilst with Birmingham .

Big rumour that Benjamin Siegrist an Aston Villa reserve keeper will make the move to the Pirelli. Seemingly he's massive!

My guess is David Stockdale, registered for Fulham but played for Fulham...?

Jordan Pickford from Sunderland it is then, seems he is highly rated and comes with a glowing report from Nicky Law having been on loan at Alfreton last season!

Well, he certainly sounds good.

The immense build up to this made it seem like we were about to bring in Iker Cassillas so for that reason alone I feel a bit underwhelmed I must admit.

I saw him play as a 17yr old for a very poor Darlington side. He let 5 in at Mansfield but I was really impressed with him.
Commanded his area very well and without him it would have been double figures.
Maybe a gamble by Rowett but he comes highly rated so who knows.

When I heard the news this morning I thought "WHAT! You can't be relying on a 19 years old"... but reading Rowett's reviews, and the glowing recommendation from Nicky Law, after he played in a more physically demanding league last season... it might just be a masterstroke.

You'd have took Jack Butland at 19, so why not Pickford?
