When I was going regularly in the 70/80's it was fvckin dire. I know we're bad right now; swings n roundabouts.

the early 80's were dire but the mid to late 80's was a big success

also, despite being pash in the early 80's wer e were pash in the top league in scotland

this mob are supposed to be spl standard players and they are being passed off the park by kents who are jannys and plumbers by day

With a takeover on the horizon people would surely be waiting to see who will be buying up all the shares they can.

That's another point mccoll had a chance to buy in during they share issue. Could of bought
A massive piece of the club.

So far this rangers man stood back while the club was sold to whyte. Didn't bid during the cva period.

Didn't even make a higher offer than green after the cva failed.

Then offered green what they had paid and no more. A bid that only caused disruption when rangers were desperately trying to rebuild.

Then when offered a legitimate way to buy a stake I'm the club through the share offer just didn't bother.

This rangers man seems like he would be great for the club right enough

When the CVA failed Green got Rangers for £5.5m, if this McColl guy was such a massive fan why couldn't he bid £6m?

Say what you want about King- he lost as much as anyone.

Henrik, wasn't the bid 6/6.5?

Doesn't really matter; derisory offer.

Ath.

You used to spend more than that on players, ffs.

I think too many Rangers men were too scared to be associated with a failing CVA, Green pounced because he's out to make money and couldn't care what people really think of him.

With a takeover on the horizon...

But IS there one on the horizon? Or is this going to be yet another drawn out affair?

dave king lost 20 million

joe lewis lost 40 million

david murray lost the ability to make millions off Rangers whilst never having invested a single penny of his own money in the club

hang on a minute here...coop aren't you one of the ally happy clappers who have defended him signing SPL players yet use the fact these signings have cost us a lot of money to berate the current board? tell me is Charles green on the current board?

as others have said these 'rangers' men have had their opportunity to save the club and start their own legacy, they chose not to.

personally i don't the likes of murray or blin anywhere near the club. these were the guys who were taking a wedge and could see the club lurking towards an abyss yet did fook all

We need a Rangers Bunnet.

it was high time the club was run as a business by business men and not based on what team they support

To be honest I want someone or some people in charge who have no affinity to Rangers then they won't make decisions based on sentimentality etc. I want hard headed businessmen to completely revolutionise the club from top to bottom. No more jobs for the boys or giving ex players way more time than any other manager to get their schiedt together. We need people who will run this like a business. Not a toy or because they love the club. We need people who will make profit and to do that we need people who will take a long hard look at what the clubs done in the past and learn from the mistakes.
