Clive Tyldesley - "If you are an England fan, you're going to have to sing up a bit tonight"

Phahahaha! Good luck with that at Wembley Clive! Library.

comment by Ji Sung Park's Cousin (U2958)posted 5 minutes agoStop backtrcking, redas... You clearly didn't understand the concept of a 4-3-3.... btw - Walcott would make an ideal wide forward, rooney has shown that he is more than capable in that role (with Tevez and Ronaldo)... Welbeck is the only wildcard, that's why i put him in the middle (a position he scored 12 goals, in his first season there)

................

Rooney never thrived as a wide forward ever, even when he has his pace and skill. The season with tevez people have revisionist history about. Tevez and rooney played as 2 withdrawn strikers. Just because Ronaldo scored all the goals, people think we did not play a winger on the other side. Check the games.

And my point has always been that we are copying a formation we do not have the players for, for both united and england. Walcott is the best version of the wing forward england has, and even then would not be able to play the role at the highest levels. Walcotts goals came from playing more centrally.

The ability to play wing forward literally does not exist in england. Not the famous players at least
