I've been thinking, and I'm not going to blame Wolfie for Mick's dismissal today. He can have the day off. I shall be sweetness and light.
Its not the spending so much, its the spending only, i want it now attitude.
United were patient and the initial success came from building a team from the younger ranks.
But subsequent success came from spending more than anybody else on wages and fees for years upon year. When Chelsea came along with more money, and then City, their hypocritical fans bleated like schoolgirls.
26 shots to 11 for liverpool
Dont see any comparison with uniteds way and chelsea/mancitys way at all.
Both taken over by multi billionaires who just want to be recognised as heroes, almost like buying friends.
That said, i hate arsenal because wenger is the biggest asshóle in world football.
united weren't patient on purpose. they spent loads (comparatively) and brought in lots of players when ferguson arrived. they then came upon a decent youth side through the efforts of brian kidd (I think) and used the explosion in sky money to keep funding big player signings
now ppl cry because other sides are trying to play catch up and have the audacity to spend in two years what man utd have done in ten to get their squad to compete.
strangely they guy you hate is the one manager who has tried to developand not just do it through spending. and the best manager the prem has ever seen other than ferguson (and possibly mick)
some recognition of pertons good support would be good - some people very quick to have a go at him
Will put up an apology thread with his picture later on - he is obviously there today.
stay safe Perton, nasty place Brizzle. WWW.Loyal.Com thanks for the steer re SS1, cool that. Is this a regular thing or a one off?
Good pic by Perton. There appears to be a very very tiny bloke having a massive wee in the middle of the pitch though...
one off I think LOD especially for the start of the prem season
Was Kightly injured today or did he just not make the bench?
has to be worth a sneaky loan deal...hughes might not want him there and he'd be a good replacement if we could move sako on
Didn't they put him on the transfer list? Stoke fans reckon we sold them a duffer.
not sure about sky sports LOD
someone said they were trying to spike bt sports and would do it often
You may be right GB, i just dont like the way any average club can transform in 2 seasons just through spending huge money.
As for Wenger, the problem i have with him is that he is not gracious in defeat, Arsenal have never lost a game fairly under his management yet and he has targeted a lot of players when it goes badly rather than acknowledging his own teams deficiences.
How many does BCs ground hold these days?
Don't mess with Sky!
Arsenal v Villa on WM
gonna be at 300 before kick off........WBAs board has not had that this year
19,500 with segregation in place according to Wiki.
Morning Bute. Don't change habits of a lifetime mate.
Just watched Liverpool almost throw it away.
Rather watch the Arsenal match than read all the comments by Herbie, talking to himself.
