If Zaha is fit, then I'd rather him start than Valencia.

Personally I think a few players need games and even though it's Liverpool still think the squad should be used. This would be mine:

DDG

Rafael
Evans
Smalling
Fabio/Buttner

Nani
Cleverley
Anderson
Giggs

Kagawa
Hernandez

I would then look to give at least 30 mins to Zaha and or Adnan.

This team should still have enough at home to beat LFC in my opinion as I see them making a few changes as well.

The pacier back line will enable our midfield to push up and should see us getting into more attacking areas more often.

I agree with Baz, thy team but with Zaha. Maybe a start for Nani aswell.

Moyes has to field a team to win the game.

The team in the OP won't beat a near to full strength Liverpool side who apart from Saturday have looked good this season.

The team is going to be a lot stronger than it perhaps would have been had we got decent results against City and Liverpool in the league.

SE85 I agree that Moyes needs a side to win the game but I also think he needs to utilise the squad.

I think the team I have listed is good enough to beat Liverpool and to be fair it isn't like the 'first team' did well at Anfield.

However, Moyes may just tell most of the lads on Sunday that they have to play again to get over it and that some of them will be playing for game time. A backlash would be good and as you say Moyes doesn't really want to exit his first trophy chance before October.

I think you're being very naïve there.

This Liverpool side, assuming they are at or close to full strength will beat that team mate. They aren't mugs and they always play well above themselves against us.

I actually think Rooney will play personally.

Don't think I am being naive to be honest.

I accept they have not played much but they will have something to prove.

I know it's LFC but I still think that my team would raise their game. I'd like to think so anyway.

I think Liverpool will take this very seriously therefore Moyes needs to pick his strongest side possible. Another loss would be a nightmare for him this early on

I think Smalling might be better to have in there than Jones, their pairing(Jones/Evans) last season against WBA wasn't good.

Have Kagawa instead of Janujaz and have Janujaz come on for Zaha or Nani in the second half
