He raises a key point though, which he must of saw I wrote on a previous article. Teams such as Chelsea and Manchester City cannot claim to be true giants of the domestic game if they featured in a competition that most people on here don't even knew existed.

It's surprising in Chelsea's case therefore what close to a £ billion pounds can do.

I wouldn't never call either of them super powers as my memory of the game lasts a longer than 5 minutes..Please any team can get to the top providing they spend enough money. However as to weather they can sustain it though remains to be seen.

Because you win the league doesn't instantly make you a superpower I would be amazed if both Arsene and Sir Alex would call Manchester City a super power. Chelsea well that's a different matter because even though they won the lottery to get them started in the same vein as City, they have had a decade of success that is unparelled for that club.

Chelsea used to have players of the calibre of Vinny Jones and Dave Beasant playing for them hardly the hallmarks of a top level club before the millions rolled in.

Clearly if you have spent as much money as City they should be too, but they are not a super power. Blimey they've had three season's to get out of the group stages of the Champion's League, and failed each time. A super power would be seen as one of the biggest threats in Europe and clearly City are not, well not yet anyway another £ 200 million should do it.

Compared to the one league cup and solitary Champs league appearance you guys have had in recent years...

If you hadn't got all the luck you clearly missed out on in the other final against the Mancs, then we might well of got another one you lucky rentboys. It wouldn't of surprised me if Roman had fixed the final either against Bayern as I've never seen Gomez look so inept.

Crikey even Crystal Palace won it once therefore a massive club like Chelsea should be so proud of themselves for winning it twice <laugh >.

Double 2 FA Cups, ECWC, 2 Champs league apps,

Those trophies were clearly brought on money Chelsea did not have, and borrowed out of all proportion to what they had coming in to secure a bit of success. They were about to go bust, when they luckily got bailed out. Any club could have done what Chelsea did borrow lots of money, win a few trophies. Most clubs though prefer to do it the honest and proper way.
