Would be idiotic. He misses a League Cup tie, and there was enough justification in giving a red to make an appeal pointless.

Szczesny and sagna were brilliant today .

I think it is time Gnabry is given more minutes, has not looked out of place at all when he has featured.

Giroud's been awful. He's failed to hold it up, he's tried pointlessly and relentlessly to one touch flick almost every ball played his way and, whilst he's had little service (a bi-product from how poorly the whole team have played not just he) he's failed to offer options and make himself available as his movement has been below par and the Palace defenders have had the best of him.

All that said, he's scored and secured the 3 points and that, looking back on this game, will be all that rightly matters. Long term, however, I still think this side needs a true number 1 centre forward, but that's for a whole other thread.

When giroud has a good game but doesnt score, he doesnt score enough.

When he has a bad game but scores hes a bad striker.

I can understand the frustration, but we need to supportt our best striker. Its not his fault he is the best we have.

We had some players who werent bad. Cazorla, Giroud, Özil, were the worst of them.

Embarrassing performance all in all. Complacent all over.

I think Arsenal should appeal because that wasn't even a foul for Palace. It was foul on Arteta.
