No place for Rooney in this team as it stands, squad player at best.
We aint rubbish. We are one of the best teams in the world.
Cant wait to go to our open top bus parade

1 - England have lost just one of their last 17 internationals (W14 D2)
Since Euro 012 we've been one of the best form international sides in the world, yet as soon as any England match gets played the thread is full of usual bandwagon rubbish about how average/garbage we are.

I believe that will change this summer !

Neither deserve a place in the squad starting line-up
No place for Wilshere or Sterling if they are fit either.
They're not nailed on starters like Rooney is (regardless of how bad he's playing).
Rooney is still a better player than Deli Alli.
So if England play 4-2-3-1, then he should start at 10.

Sorry, just no.
Matheus is the only ex German player they could find who isn't either in jail or under investigation.

Thats the case for a few players though isn't it? Cahill and Henderson have hardly covered themselves in glory yet they seem 1st picks.
Wilshere is a guaranteed starter if he's fit. He's so much more talented than Hendo, Delph, Dier, Drinky etc.
Sterling will probably start as well. Him & Welbeck as the wingers.

yet.
I think we should play 4-diamond-2
there's too much strength and depth at striker to leave them out.
Rooney can stay home

Wilsher that is...
Rooney should go along to Euro's to be a boot boy and tea maker.
but wilshere was a nailed on starter before he got injured, actually englands best player at the time
Wilshere needs a run of games to prove himself and at least a couple of friendlies with England.
He was painful to watch for England for ages, then hit a bit of form where he was very good for just shy of a handful of matches.
We need to be sure it wasn't a purple patch before we bet on him.
Wilshere has no chance of going without game time. As for Rooney, he has played at least 20 more internationals than he has deserved.
England need to embrace youth and use the Euros as a learning curve going forward.
We have a very good group of younger players who seem to have the desire to succeed, so we should go with them.
Vardy has shown he deserves to go to the Euros, even if it is only as an impact sub, great flick to score England's second goal.
As for the Spurs contingent, as Brucie would say, "Didn't they do well?"

He was MOTM 6 times in 8 games.
There's no need to 'bet' on him, because there's no real risk. Even if he plays poorly, the 'reward' of Hendo, Delph & Drinky isn't worth not taking Wilshere.
England weren't very good then though.
Leaving all banter and bias aside, quite a lot of people rated him as the best of a bad bunch rather than top quality.
He needs to show he can play as a team player first and add the right amount of value IMO
Well just caught the reply and all i can say is England Kane and Vardy ...........Ozil
