You won the last World cup GT, don't be greedy

I know you can not always get the glory but to end last in this group with due to respect to our opponents is just horrible

all of Germany going mental with Kroos's free kick a few days ago

Ozil actually played ok. Laid on a few chances but when you lack a clinical finisher is not going to get you anywhere. My criticism is that he should have done it himself but when you lack confidence under a manager who had frankly stopped coaching 3 years ago, its easier to pass it onto someone else.

Goes to show something must have not been right behind the scenes when that couldn't kickstart them. Instead Sweden get a kickstart out of it.

honestly would be better to end our hopes there but to end 0-2 against Korea is not acceptable.

Germany miss leaders like Schweinsteiger and Lahm. Could you imagine them allowing this team to be this complacent?

I am glad I picked Spain Belgium as finalists and Spain as winners. Its always tempting to pick Germany as a finalist lol.

4 of the past 5 holders of the World Cup went out in the group stages at the next one, is this a curse?

I bet the Swedes are loving it after what those two from the German bench did to them when Kroos scored.

Karma. Beautiful.

What did they do?

4 years is a long time in football, and I guess the hunger isn't quite there compared to the rest

I don't think it was complacency. I think it was a lack finishing quality. The chances Werner missed today would be frowned on in the second division. This is the world stage and the Germans lack of penetration and striking was obvious. It makes the decision of leaving Sane out of the squad even more amazing.

It was a couple of years early for him, I agree. What they would give to have Klose.

But it was complacency. They seemed to believe that they did not have to out-think their opponents.

Imo, it's more that winning it cements your belief that you're doing things right, so that even when the warning signs are there, you're tempted to think that it'll all get better when it comes down to the crunch.

At least in Spain's case, it was patently clear we were an accident waiting to happen.

What odds klipperty next Germany manager
----------------------------------------------------------------------
DFB said before that even if we go out, Löw who just signed a new contract will stay on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Weird parallels between Germany and Arsenal actually.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I cant see any.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ozil
Wenger / Lowe
Used to be good / now an embarrassing mess.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Struggle to follow your idea
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like Germany need to freshen things up starting with the manager

Klipperty your country needs you

I think national teams make the fundamental mistake of not realising they need to reinvent themselves and join a new cycle just as clubs do.
