having watched the goals on TV from yesterday...am i right in thinking Dixon has some blame for both goals ?

Ist goal threaded through our back 3 but Dixon let the striker get behind him..then 2nd goal, okay Gerrard headed back across our own goal, but again Dixon was supposed to be marking the guy who headed in the winner...and lost him.

on both occasions he was edging forward towards the ball losing sight of the player he was supposed to be marking...

If you are going to do a 'shuffle' like Vaughan did, isn't the idea to see which way the keeper goes then slot it in the opposite side ? Vaughan did this, keeper dived left..and Vaughan hit it straight at him.

So what Vaughan is doing is doing the silly shuffle but already decided where he is going to shoot..which kinda defeats the object doesn't it ?
