Suarez is doing better than Torres ever did for you with a weaker side than Torres had around him

FrimBoue I'm not a Liverpool fan, but I do recall Torres playing a major part for Liverpool's best season in quite a while when they finished second under Rafa, but like you said he had a stronger side around him.

As much as he's on fire there's only so much Suarez can do to influence where Liverpool end up come May.

Suarez is the more talented player, if only torres didnt sulk they could of formed some partnership.

Suarez contributes more to the team and scored more than Torres ever did for us.

Also Suarez is rarely injured.

Torres got to 50 goals quicker only by a few games.. but suarez has played under us when we were alot worse.

Suarez by some for me.....and Torres was one of my fave non spurs players while at 'pool in his peak.

Suarez is a far more complete player than Torres.

The past 18 months Suarez has been better than Torres at his peak. The reason Torres got to 50 goals quicker is he started scoring immediately as opposed to Suarez who missed sitters for a while!

Talent wise there is clear daylight between them IMO. Plus honest makes a very good point, Suarez is rarely injured.

Torres first season was his best.

He was magnificent that season, I don't think Suarez has had a single season as good yet.

But, he is never injured, and he has been brilliant for a longer period of time.

Torres was never as consistently good as his first season after that. He was good in 08/09 but not as good as he had been in 07/08, people just remember it more because of the 4-1 at OT.

Not much to choose between them when Torres was at his peak. Fernando was unplayable at times and he seemed to thrive on the Anfield atmosphere which makes its all the more heartbreaking when he left.

Suarez is a bit different and more complete as a player, he doesn't rely on pace and is hard as nails, he has already shown he's as good as there has ever been at Anfield.

Suarez for me.

I'd say he's not there yet, but if he keeps this up until the end of the season, then IMO, he will have overtaken Torres.
He has so much more going for him, he doesn't sulk, seems to be extremely tough physically and above all, he simply LOVES playing

look at the players that Torres played with compared to Suarez!

I would prefer the Torres of old in this side. I just think he would work better in our system. However Suarez is a better player. Although Torres never really worked with a strike partner.

Torres was injured for a lot of that season, that's why we didn't win it that year

I think I'd put Suarez in the top 6 all time LFC greats.

Both brilliant players for us, just wish they'd played together.
