Care to list the 15 then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He clearly can't unless he's going to make up imaginary signings
People think our squad is massive but if you look at those we would release because not up to standard then it's not that big. Majority of those Billy didn't sign but stuck with and it's what happens with lots of managers in couple of seasons.
He also had to replace some loans, especially in defence. If you look at strikers we have less than when he joined, as never replaced Sharp. Mackie is more midfield or in the hole before point that out.
Cox still may progress, misses lots of chances but what striker doesn't? If he can keep ticking over with goals than valuable squad member. Hendo does a job, after that can push Mackie forward. Dexter may hafe come good again but out for season. We need Miller, Tudgay and Derbyshire off elsewhere
The last point being so important. The likes of Greening, Miller and Derbyshire collecting around 40k each week between them.
In defence didn't we have four senior players and Lascelles after loans went back? One of those being Cohen who was still considered to mainly he midfield then?
Billy had to pretty much rebuild defence
Genuine question here no wum, do you think it is the striker missing lots or the quality of the final ball.
Miller, Blackstock and even Tudgay have found the net since leaving, Forest play a fast tempo on the attack from what I've seen, wonder if they slowed it down a bit they might create more clear cut chances that are easier to put away.
I think strikers can get in a funk but that it's been consistent all season with all strikers seems a bit more than a coincidence to me.
They've scored on their loan spells but too early to suggest any are prolific just yet. Tudgay hasn't really played for us, Blackstock didn't do great and Miller has not done well under several managers. Missed some real gift edged opportunities when given the chance this season. I think we make a fair amount of chances generally. For me though we haven't got a real ball winner in midfield and that doesn't help the balance
If you look at last season under Billy I suspect we are missing the option of chucking Lewis on to convert tight games into wins
Why is backo not nameing the 15?
Has he made it up?
Dear O dear!
Can backo count to 15? With out using all of his fingers and toes!
It was finishing yesterday, we created quite a few chances, had a one on one but just couldn't finish again.
We have had a few of these now where we should have won and we have drawn. Hopefully it will be rectified in january, i'm still holding onto the hope we may get Rhodes as he wouldn't miss!
We won't be getting Rhodes SBD
Should have got nikki wells in the summer better than owt we have also need a left back and a good defensive midfielder but as I said last year this is a window we refuse to use I only see forests home games on aljazerra here in spain and they don't look like a top 6 side it needs sorting now or you know what !!!!
Darlow (5) Had a poor game. Too much kick and hope balls to the "big front man" (I'll revisit that later). No rush to take goal kicks and poor distribution when the fullbacks were screaming for the ball
Halford (6) Had a reasonable game. Worked hard and made some good tackles
Hobbs (6) Made the odd mistake but rescued Harding and Darlow a couple of times. Not his best game.
Lascelles (5) Did very little and lost possession a few times as well as the odd wayward pass.
Harding (6) Had a good game. Was caught out on the odd occasion but was pretty solid and didn't have mush to do. Got forward a few times to back up Cox.
Abdoun (6) Had a good first half. Pants in the second half and tried too many fancy flicks that belong in a game when you are 3-0 up. Not convinced that he is a good as everyone wants him to be.
Reid (5) Took a free kick and blazed it over the bar when others were expecting a chip into the box. Leaving players chasing back into position. Too much moaning to the ref rather than concentrating on his game.
Lansbury (7) was our best player without trying. Wanted to win and was probably the only player on the pitch that did.
Chabollah (6) Did ok but was a bit too clever at times.
Didn't do much wrong.
Mackie (6) Not one of his better days. Ipswich saw him as the threat and snuffed him out.
Cox (6) So much huff and puff and should of scored.. (now where have I said that before )
Davies (2) P!ss poor management skills yet again. 1 up front at home just played into the hands of Ipswich. No tactical awareness as usual. The only defence he has is that Cohen is no longer playing and we miss him. Using Wilson or Vaughan as an excuse is not valid in my opinion. He need to get a striker, a new left back and an experienced partner for Hobbs. We need to play 442 at home.
and finally Davies needs to get our GK coaches to get Darlow to use the ball batter... especially when it is windy
This team will not go up as it is (stating the obvious)
Webbo (1) Was totally miserable yet again and back to his old self
Here is one for you, every billy hater is pointing at the sheep saying look after they sacked Nigel.
Well I have one better for you, look at Liverpool, when you give a good manager time!
I don't hate Billy. Just don't think he deserves the pedestal that you are all giving him. I do not want him sacked (just yet). He needs a proper go at promotion. (a full season)
At the moment though, he just doesn't play to the strength some of our players can give. 1 up frint at home is not acceptable.
SBD (0) for thinking the sun shines out of Davies's 'rsehole
