no one wants to see hogan now
The hogan is a free wrestler now. No more TNA so mania will be a big pay day. Hope WWE won't want him to wrestle do.
No-one wants to see Cena either, but them together at WM and save two other wrestlers
many want to see cena, always puts on a good story in the run up to mania

i'm right
there has been a lot worse stuck on mania cards over the years
The card hasn't been finalised yet
But I agree, on star power alone this year will have to pull off something special to be as bad as last year. That projected card, transparent as it was, would put on a better PPV than WM29
Perhaps a Big E. Langston vs. Dean Ambrose match to unify the Intercontinental and United States titles
I just read this bit, whaaaaaaa...
All I saw was Hogan vs Brock...MY EYES!!!!! Hogan vs Cena is a match I would love to see. May not be easy on the eye, but makes a lot sense IMO.
Goldberg vs Ryback...arghhh why? They have a perfect opponent in Brodus Clay. You may remember my point about Ryback, and his use being attributed to the Clay characterisation twist. We are still suffering from that mental fracture dealt by the E creative, when they built up a monster and delivered a care bear.
Ryback is a work of art creatively, however this is due to Brodus imo and a coming together of the 2 would be pretty seminal for the masses, even though most don't know that Clay is the man in "the man iron mask".
Clay heel turn at Mania allows the shield break up to be filed instantly and pushes Big show closer to the door...IMO of course.
...I meant Taker vs Brock
If it's at all possible, WWE simply won't resist Cena vs. Hogan and rightfully so. It's a match which I can say with some degree of certainty we'll see something very rare indeed, something WWE have been positively gagging for since 2005, a unanimous baby face reaction for John Cena at a major PPV event.
Although he'll always have his following, Digby is correct in that even die hard Hogan marks are getting a little tired of him just not letting go of wrestling (in my discussions with a few anyway). This is a match people will be wanting Cena to win
Brock vs. Taker is this year's equivalent of Punk vs. Taker..... Brock's not going to win, we all know this. He's been exposed now, shown enough vulnerability to have lost his novelty status. So WTF is the point of this blessed match? The only match I can think of involving Brock more devoid of intrigue for this WM would be HHH again
Thing about Brock is, the potential is there for him to be a real figure in the industry. He is a decorated college wrestler and a former UFC heavyweight champion! In an industry which has its biggest secret (that its fake) out in the open, u have a fanbase that loves that bit of legitamacy.
Brock is a natural heel, but a legit scary entity (unless u are Cain Velasquez). He may not be mint on the mic, but he is one of those who can get by with mic worker in front of him. IMO a mania angle with him in HHH clique, and having him be HHHs muscle who doubles up as a vicarious entity in a feud with Taker has its merits for this year now I think of it.
Then why not do that same angle but work it towards Punk vs. Brock II? For once, that's a rematch people actually want booked for WM, and it draws in a lot more components than if the opponent was Taker.
You'd have Punk's fractious relationship with HHH, Brock & Heyman, the possibility of The Shield's break up (influenced by Punk) playing a role, the unholy alliance of HHH & Heyman, or play off a conflict of interest dynamic as they try to pull Lesnar in different directions. Then on the side of course you'd have Orton continue to worry about his position, possibly try to place a wedge between HHH & Stephanie. And of course although you'd think Punk would be a dead cert to win that prospective match, it's not half the formality Lesnar/Taker would be.
Brock vs. Taker does nothing for me this year, last year when Brock still somewhat felt like a UFC fighter invading the pro-wrestling circuit it was almost like a clash of legitimacy. A "real" MMA fighter versus a REAL wrestler (i.e. complete gimmick and connection with an audience that transcends athletic ability). Time has rendered this wonderful novelty Lesnar had going for him 12 months ago moot, he now feels like just a former wrestler whose come back aka. The Rock.
just...your last paragraph struck a chord, I hoped it was not just a side niggling doubt but it has its merits as a viable point. Didn't the WWE decline his decision to go back to the cage? IMO that would be the key to salvaging that novelty.
However, i can see an angle where HHH, uses a top guy as his "Taker killer"?....wait...what about Randy?
That's better. Orton's character at present is in that place of insecurity most of Taker's opponents over the last 5-10 years have been prior to facing him (besides HHH of course who's the exception for every rule - being GOD and all ). He's not a credible streak killer, but only Cena is at this point - what Orton does have is the power of "the punt". If delivered at the absolute right moment that could suspend disbelief for just a second...... could
Course Orton would have to relinquish the title at RR to do this, but that may not be a bad thing if it creates a Cena vs. Bryan WM Title match
I'm intrigued by the faith in Cena here. Credible streak killer? This needs digression psyche.
hes the biggest name in the company and has been for almost 10 years, whos more credible?
Cena is boring
They're taking CM Punk the same way.
'Taker is probably going to die with that streak intact.
"Who the hell is Alberto Del Rio?"
Batista = Legend
Someone explain to me how Cena can legit end the streak. what am I missing here?
