As long as the kits look 'handsome' and not the messes they usually put out.

The leaked kit looks disgusting

As discussed on here, Puma football tops generally tend to lend themselves to the more athletic build of person. Anyone carrying any excess timber or in possession of a podge will be wise to opt for some other item of clothing to show their love.

If it follows your usual sponsorship trends, about £20 and a packet of crisps a week for the next 10 years with a £250m contract buyout.

Incidentally, the "biggest deal of it's kind in Europe", according to marketing people at least...

Puma kits are still a long way off Adidas in terms of looks for me, but given the amount of money they're giving the club it doesn't matter too much. Plus, Gazidis mentioned in the press conference that the kit money will be available in the summer for Wenger to spend.

So what are we gonna see at the Emirates from the kit wearing fans? Methinks Nike kits will be around for years to come to avoid the skin tight ones

Maybe we'll see a resurgence in the lovely 1971 kit they sell at the club shop, a beauty that is

If you really wanna get colourful, there is a school of thought that (in the modern game) "sponsors" can & do grease the wheels so that their clients can negotiate deals (sign players) who are on their roster & betrothed to them in a contractual sense.

Quick, do a Google search of what players are sponsored by Puma, quickly! Have you done it yet? Who is sponsored by Puma? ANSWER ME!

My Cote d'Ivoire kit from 2006 was far from skin tight. Although I did have Kolo's name on the back so that may be why...

Even the announcement on the Arsenal page mentioned "Sergio Aguero, Cesc Fabregas, Mario Balotelli, Radamel Falcao, Olivier Giroud and Yaya Toure among others"

We are signing Balotelli...

£150 Mil hmm so how does that compare to the other top PL clubs if anyone knows?

They won't be as loose as Nike, that's for sure.

There's some discrepancy over WHO has the best deal.

The short answer is, it's a toss up between Utd and Arsenal.

I was just reading a certain journalist (with more than a swinging bias towards the red half of Manchester) say that whilst on paper Arsenal's deal "is bigger", Utd get a bigger cut on profits.

This has been contested and there are many reporting that this Arsenal/Puma deal "sets the standard" for all "big clubs" with regards to their sponsorship deals.

Thanks for that, Moisty.

That we've even competing to that degree with Utd is brilliant.

Nice one, Ivan and co.

At $49.5m per year, it stands as the most lucrative such deal in European football - currently.

Chelsea are rumoured to have agreed a £300m 10 year deal with Adidias - also worth £30m per year. But more significantly, MUFC are putting the final touches on a deal with Nike potentially worth £45-50m per year. So AFC's kit manufacturing deal will go from being the biggest to tied-2nd within a year.

I think it can't go under the radar a) just what a HUGE jump for Arsenal this is in terms of marketing and revenue. And b) Arsenal's previous commercial deals were seemingly negotiated by a bunch of amateurs! Gazidis made a point of saying that Arsenal could and SHOULD be striking better deals, tapping into "other markets" and be performing SO much better commercially. As stated, in that respect, Gazidis has started to come good on what he insisted was/is his ambition.

Not necessarily amateurs, but mistakes were made. Arsenal needed guaranteed money upfront to fund the Emirates project but they failed to anticipate the inflation rate within football. At the time, amazingly, the Emirates deal was considered a very good one. By the end, the £5.5m a year it was worth was a paltry sum - before it was renewed at a solid £30m per year till 2018.

In general, Arsenal have improved in this respect, securing more commercial partners and finally embarking on foreign tours. Just a couple of weeks ago they confirmed Chinese tech giants Huawei as their 'Global Smartphone Partners'.

Marco Reus is sponsored by Puma, and he's German, sooo..

The truth is, The Emirates Stadium has cost Arsenal success in the short term, and unfortunately fans seem to only think short term, but long term we will definitely be in a better position than we possibly could have been if we were still at Highbury, both financially and trophy wise.
