1-3 defeat! But we at least we'll "play some good stuff"

We're gonna get suckered into the relegation mire if our form consists!

This has got 0-0 written all over it....can't see Town winning this one tbh...neither can I see us beating Forest next week....

We are on the edge of a crisis....woe woe and thrice woe...

No way, no way, no way will we get sucked into a relegation scrap. A few games ago everyone was hailing the advances that Town have made this season - then a blip - and the doom-mongers are out again.

Win or lose on Saturday doesn't make any difference to the long term - we are better, we are improving long term - don't panic Mr Mainwaring!

Jacko, Darn says never mind woe, woe, woe, have you murdered that mechanic yet?

I'm sat opposite him in the cafe here, that's woeful!

Yes, granted we are playing a much better style of football, better on the eye. But it's a results business.

I know I'm speaking in clichés, but it's true. All it takes is two more defeats on the spin and Boom! Relegation dogfight here we come. Also the sides down there are picking up points.

Hydy, glass half full, Town play well get at least 4 points from Wigan , Forest, head to Birmingham looking for revenge. LV Who the Fook is darn ?

Im still optimistic, we got bent over and rogered on the weekend but we still created enough chances before that to have won the game. If we start to take our chances then we could get a couple of good results on the bounce.

Vaughan is due a goal and I reckon when he gets one he will have a decent spell and that will see us right. Wells may have been off form on Saturday but I reckon he will get one against Wigan. The VW engine will be roaring soon enough!

3-1 Town!

I've had one of the VW air-cooled engines...nowt but hard work...

L L D D W L W L L L is hardly 'relegation avoidance' form is it ?

Okay, I'm not panicking or 'doom-mongering' BUT we have gone from play-off hopefulls to 10 points from the drop zone...Robins says he's wanting to get to 40 points asap (that won't be enough to stay up tho' )..I reckon 46 this season, that's about one point per game from now on..something we haven't achieved in the last ten games..

A couple of wins in the next 3 or 4 games will be handy..we need to keep plenty of fresh air between us and the bottom three...

We need goals !!

LV tell Darn it's passed it MOT but only after another bout of welding and the usual "it's taken longer than usual" statement from the bleeding mechanic....

Town are badly in need of a win and provided we can field near enough our strongest team, then I believe we will get something out of this game.

Having said that, Wigan have only conceded 13 goals on their travels which only a couple of teams can better, although they have only scored 9, which is down at the bottom with the worst teams in the league.

However, they have also beaten Derby & Reading on their travels, although lowly Millwall, Blackpool & Doncaster, all took maximum points from them on their home patches.

So as we all know, there's precious little difference between the majority of teams in this league, so I'm going for a 1 -1 draw, although having said that we can just as easily win or lose, particularly if we don't start to put away some of the many chances we are currently squandering.

So come on my mate Wardy, get thee scoring booits on and surprise all the knockers.

It's nice mbwb. We meet up there before and after the charity bike rides.

I'm not going, can't afford, it'd cost me about £65 with everything factored in.

I recon it will be a tough game but am going for a hard thought 1-0 or 2-1 victory

Because we all live in caravans and travel a lot.

It will be an interesting team selection today - if Hammill is fit then it probably keeps Lolley on the bench which is a shame in a way.

Does Wardy's goal last week keep him in the team? Not if Vaughan is fit - it'll be Vaughan-Wells up top.

Only certainty is that Wallace will make way for Lynch or Clarke (former hopefully) after his horrific gaffe for the first goal last week - he's done really well but Robins won't stand for stuff like that - especially when it turned the game. Time for a rest.

Also Hogg will come in for Gobern if fit - unlucky in my view on Gobern - he was good last week and we completely fell apart in the middle when he went off.

So, fitness permitting, you are looking at ...

Smithies
Smith, Gerrard, Lynch/Clarke
Hammill, Clayton, Norwood, Hogg, Dixon
Vaughan, Wells

Subs: Lolley, Lynch/Clarke, Ward, Woods, Holmes, Gobern

... oh and Ward to start for the late withdrawal of Vaughan

vaughan was having late test y'day, but as a rule he never passes them that late...Pato might be back with Wells but leaving Ward out after scoring last week ?

We've too many players in the sick room ...what the heck are they doing with them...? Have we got a new physio yet.. ?

posted on 8/2/14

So it might be pato and the (former) bantam up front baby come back!

(I know it's Pato banton, but humour me please )
