yeah because they want the Title Race to go all the way
What? How is this surprising?
People hate success. In any walk of life.
Was exactly the same with lpool twenty years ago.
If Liverpool go on to win the title for the next 2 or 3 season in a row the neutrals will turn on them. Just the way it is.
OP
Why on earth would you think that.
Teams that have long spells of supremacy will always end up being hated.

Are you old enough to remember when the shoe was on the other foot.
I still remember as a boy when it was Liverpool who were the dominant force in football. Not many people hated Utd back then because we won eff all!!
As someone has already said on this thread; people hate success.
I think there is a sadistic element to sport that has the underdog as the hero and the desire for the dominant team to get their comeuppance. The Utd horror show for those that enjoy it even mildly, they no doubt would prefer a total collapse and a flirt with relegation than a flirt with top four.
The media most certainly would, as the more incredulous it becomes the more people fixate on it all.
Never ignored

For what it's worth, put me firmly in the anyone but Liverpool camp. Hated them when they dominated English football, still do. Many I know feel the same.
I'm not a United fan either, but twice a season, I hope they can do some damage to Liverpool's chances.
There's nothing I hate more than hatred.
