I think this one could be a tricky match.
3-0 win today now 50's back in charge
I'm going today and am not confident at all at present need the performances to lift
only a handful of goals conceded by both teams combined in the last couple of months, so whoever is more clinical in front of goal wins. I back Wolves but look forward to hearing about Baxter for them from anyone who makes it to the match.
Saying that, looks like Sheffu are going to have to make a couple of changes at the back after injuries in the week so there recent form in defence may be undermined.
Edited ........I quickly typed a full pre-match report
0-4 lump on
Theres a difference between a team in form ....and playing a team that's to good for league 1.
Do not confuse the two, when lumping on !
Poor deluded fools, the only time we get 4 in an away match is when yours truly is doing the thread.
Just put my house, car, wife and favourite mug on Wolves to win 4-0. Thanks for the tip, Halfy, I may have missed that bet.
Cyp......Apologies, I meant 4-0 not 0-4
Tell them you made a mistake Cyp. They can keep the wife but you want your mug back.
Sheffield will have 1 eye on the semi's........don't Cyp the bets safe
Can't believe you put the mug on it though !
Weather report for Sheffield
Today
Sunny spells but also a scattering of showers, these heavy and wintry at times, perhaps with hail and thunder, and also some snow, mainly on hills. Feeling cold in a brisk southwest wind.
Sako will need more than gloves, and will be mummified prior to KO
The slagheaps will protect them from the wind
I wouldn't bet on 4-0. If Brayford is back United will be more solid at the back, and with Maguire in fine form the defense is decent.
There won't be any focus on the cup at this stage - it's weeks away. The objective is points on the board. A win would have them 7 off the playoffs with a game in hand. Having said that, I'd clearly take a draw.
Being "too good for league one" didn't help Villa, or Fulham, or Notts Forest as United put them out in the cup.
Today will be a big challenge of a match. Lose it & the playoffs are a distant dream, win it and United are right in the mix. A draw doesn't really help anybody, but with the good defenses of both sides on display, may be the most likely result.
Wait till the wolves have ripped you a new one !
I think the speculation of an unchanged side will prove to be untrue but that will be dependant on whether Kenny feels his regulars are sharp enough to perform at their best after a heavy run of fixtures. Be happy with a draw from this one personally but 3 points would do nicely. Off on the road to Sheffield now, hope Wolfie doesn't mind
