5 points gap over Orient with a game in hand. Promotion all-but nailed-on.

Interesting piece about Mickswich and the Financial Fair Play rules. He's done well turning them round from cut-adrift relegation certainties to a team challenging for the play-offs, having only been able to recruit free transfer and loan signings this season.

Just home from the steel city. A game that only became comfortable after our second goal, but an excellent win against an in form team.
Ikeme 8 two excellent saves in the first half were key
Doherty 8 fine return to the team
Batth 6 not at his best here and gave away some unnecessary free kicks
Stearman 8 didn't put a foot wrong today
Golbourne 6 did ok but gave his winger too much space at times
McDonald 8 played deep and controlled the midfield
Henry 9 his best game for a few months
Evans 6 had a decent game and will get more chances
Edwards 8 did really well, his best game of the season
Jacobs 7 good first half faded after the break
Clarke 6 worked hard but his lack of pace, poor control and inability to win balls in the air makes him a poor sub for Dicko

Now that we know we can change the team around and still get results like this we will surely take some stopping now.

A great win today and only 3 more points to secure a play off place.

Well done Kenny and the lads.

How bad is Doherty's injury? Anyone know?

Roger Johnson will be coming back to Wolves.

Not played since that awful Man City performance in January.

Don't think anyone doubted that pundit.

He will be gone again though, enough clubs seem to want to take a risk.

Sounds good DJ

Bloody hell Wolfie, we secured a play off place weeks ago, ain't no more than 5 getting 80 points.

Never doubted that we would win this game........and dominated it in the end, certainly the second half.

Barcelona couldn't play on Crawley's cow field either !

Interesting game on Tuesday between Rotherham and Brentford.

All praise to KJ for one of the performances of the season.
I thought 4 changes was over the top and unnecessary but was proved wrong
On a par with Brentford away, maybe better bearing in mind the 2 previous performances.

I think he made a good tactical set up today. I was unsure which out of Edwards and Evans he would play deep and who behind the attack, but he played 4-1-4-1 and gave them both the freedom to roam and that suited them both.

Kenny becoming a tactical visionary?!?

Still buzzing, so what were the goals like DJ? Were we fully deserving of the 3 points?

Mathematically cinci.

Actually wolfie mathematically we have secured a play off place.
MKD have only 8 games left and if they won them all they would finish with 79 points, 1 less than we have now so they cannot drop us out of the PO places.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

4 wins from 9 games, EASY EASY EASY

Edwards left a few "experts" with metaphorical egg on face, and for that alone I'm delighted.

posted on 22/3/14

Did he?

Is that the Dave Edwards who finally put in a good performance in LEAGUE 1, when in reality, having been a premier league player and 50 cap international he should be dominating games most weeks.

Edwards had a good game by the sounds of it, brilliant news, but i think the reaction alone, even a thread dedicated to him on another forum tells its own story.

We expect it from many of our players, when its Dave, its proving a point

I think, reading between the lines, Bute is being polite.

He wanted to tell you Cinci that you got Dave Edwards wrong this week. And it's all the more pleasurable because you pride yourself on your predictions coming true.

posted on 22/3/14

Yes he did. By your own admission he's an international, and long serving. Could it be that, perish the thought, it's your own judgment that's clouded. Who's to say your assessment is right when all facts born of reality, show they're wrong?

You come on here with opinions based on "facts", Cinci, and no one knows where you get them from. If there's anyone on here who shares your views (not counting Witless), let us know!

What did i get wrong Pundit?

Edwards had a good game, i am delighted, i sincerely hope he has 9 more good games this season.

Butes comment was pathetic, i don't see any reason why myself or DJ should have egg on our face because he had a good game in League 1.

posted on 22/3/14

Bute, you are aware that DJ rates him about as much as i do

What facts by the way? The only facts i have put up regarding Edwards were the midfield win percentages, which were indeed facts

Anyway, i am not playing your sad, silly game, we won, i am delightedno points were proven, it was a good win from 14 players and an astute coach.

Posters don't warm to you cinci when you're giving it the whole 'I told you this last week'.

No-one likes a supposed know it all, so when you spout off and the opposite happens people will let you know.

Jesus!?!?!

What opposite happened Pundit?

Read that thread, seems a hell of a lot wouldn't give him a new contract despite a good performance today.
Good luck to him, i just hope it isn't at Wolves, not based on one League 1 game, but his 7 years at the club, no malice, just my view on him.

Edwards is definitely good enough for us. He has suffered for being one of the old guard and for the fact that he's not shiny and new like Jacobs, Henry and Dicko.

His best position is in the space behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1.

You said we were too thin on the ground after our first 11. Today Evans, Clarke and Edwards proved otherwise.
