Resorting to silly personal insults just because you disagree with what I am saying is pretty pathetic

I think he's got a point to an extent as in allot of us feel we can now actually go and win the title, I was not convinced we'd a chance a month ago but the win v West Ham has me dreaming.

But if we loose to City and finish a few points off the pace I certainly won't be devastated like say loosing a final might make you feel, I'll just think back to the season as a whole and I've really enjoyed it this year, easy to when you get to watch the most in form team in europe each week

To be honest I think more people wil be devastated if we win it then LFC fans will be if we don't.

Maybe it's just me, I'm all into rivalry and like giving united fans I know grief but really I don't care what they, or another team do, like I'd happily have united or Chelsea win the CL if we were to win the league, wouldn't bother me at all as I'd be so happy with a league title.

I think far too many fans rate their support through hatred of another club, such a waste of energy.

I love Liverpool I don't hate united, Everton etc

I can pull up about a hundred quotes from last summer where liverpool fans reckoned that this year would be "their year"

Go on then.

Never want to see a rival team do well, unless it's against the germans/italians.....etc

How can we not disagree when you make stuff up and call it fact?

It's about time you stopped peddling this tripe.

Any sensible LFC fan will realise that this season will have surpassed their expectations regardless if we win the league or not.

If not being in the champions league is such an advantage how come since more than one team could qualify via league finish only one team has ever won the domestic title without starting the season in the champions league?

How come Liverpool finish 5th when they won it ?
And Chelsea 6th ?

He's talking about winning the league you dunce.

It shows that when you concentrate on 1 thing, it's easier Dopey

But Chelsea threw in an FA CUP as well

posted on 10/4/14

Could almost call it an advantage

I believe that in the PL era nobody's won the title without finishing second the year before (may be wrong).
...............................

Arsenal have certainly done it and I'm sure Utd did when we finished above them.

I do believe not having mid-week football does help, it's diffcult to sustain a push on both fronts, very few sides in our league have done it in the past. It is also easier to prepare for a league game having a full week to do so.

That said I don't believe, as some would have you think that we'd be nowhere near the top teams if we were in Europe now. We might struggle, not to the extent though that we'd be well back in mid-table.

That no team since the bluenoses back in 85 has won the title having finished 7th the year before, is testament itself to how diffcult it is. Europe or no Europe.

City are the only team to win the league without finishing second the season before.

Pretty sure Chelsea won it the year after Liverpool finished 2nd to Utd?

Okay, so what you're saying is you don't see Liverpool as a natural top four team in the league then, if finishing in the top four "surpasses" your expectations?

Well in that case that'll make it three times. I'm pretty sure on those I mentioned earlier.

Don't let it take the shine of your title win though.

poor teams can be top off the league when they play 20+ less games than second place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is barely anyone calling leicester a poor team then?

posted on 29/3/16

Because they are top of the league
