23 carra...yes, but nowhere near the prices paid by city or cfc. Talking about now (i think we have learnt our lesson) we have Flanagan, sterling, gerrard whos combined fee is £600K (sterlings fee).

The rest of liverpool team are in the £5M to £15M(excluding those in the article)....now look at the cfc and city's team!!

Palace, over the last 10yrs have a net spend of 1.5Mil. Think what we'll achieve when we spend 5Mil in the summer!

A lot of the players listed were well worth it.

Where's Borini?

Arsenal have much better value for money on their squad.

Liverpool have spent a fortune over the years on duff players, and even under Rodgers have spent well over the odds for players that aren't that good - Borini and Allen notably - so please stop with the holier than thou attitude.

Just because billionaire owner clubs have wasted millions doesn't mean Liverpool have. In fact, it probably worse for Liverpool as they don't have unlimited funds to be able to waste money on players like they do.

Darren.....allen is quality mate. Arsenal have just spent 40M on a player and how much did giroud cost? Also when was the last time they competed for the title?

The point I am making is that on a fraction of cfc and city's spend liverpool are top of the pile and odds on to win the prem.....can arsenal claim to have done that?

Is Allen really all that? £15m? I obviously don't see him as much as you do!

He's average and cost £15m.

How much did Carroll cost? Henderson? Downing?

Liverpool have come out of nowhere, fair play, Rey deserve a lot of credit. But Arsenal have managed their finances far better over the years and got far better value than Liverpool have.

Though Wenger is to blame for not strengthening the squad sufficiently, losing all their key players this season shouldn't be underestimated.

United, Arsenal and Spurs are irrelevant.
Out of the top 3, we have the best value for money.

Well, your £130m massive advantage is clearly showing with the league table.

So is your £100m you squandered on Bale,
GD of 0. Remarkable
