Out of his depth or not, he needs to learn some communication skills. What he says to the press just makes him look like an amateur.

He's lumped players that clearly aren't up to it or have been in poor form like Rose with players like Sandro he hasn't given a chance in his best position.. or Capoue..
Regardless, it's a backhanded way of blaming the players yet again - if he was being honest he'd say his tactics and training is much of a muchness . Expect to see the same slow start, huge gaps between midfield and defence, and Danny Rose. Who's obviously as good as anyone else in the team apart from Ade, Eriksen and Lloris
To be fair to Tim, he knows he's out at the end of the season so can just say/do what he wants now.
I think Tim has done very well for Spurs in his youth role. I read an article the other day how he's revamped the whole setup since be came in 2008 and we've seen a lot of good quality youngsters since.
Listened to Ugo Egihgo on soccer am today. He's our under 16 coach and seems to have a good footballing philosophy. I think we're really progressing at youth level.

But he has been involved in football giving interviews as a captain of a prem winning team for 20 years. If he wants the job, don't say you don't know your best team after being in charge for 6 months. Say you know it, but injuries mean you haven't had a chance to play it often enough.

I think the mindset is completely different though when managing...probably a tad naive I guess on his part

As i said on another thread, Sherwood talks too much. Describing the current Spurs squad as much of a muchness is basically saying Baldini and Levy made the wrong signings in the summer.
We may agree with Tim to a point but you just cant do thats as a football manager and that is why he will be receiving his P45 in a months time.
He also stated that only 3 players, lloris, Adebayor and Eriksen are certain starters. When he gives his team talk before the match kicks off today, how are the other 8 players going to feel ?
When Avb was sacked i thought the club made the right decision in appointing Sherwood and the romanticin me wanted a young English manager with passion. However Sherwood lacks experience particularly with big name players.
Levy MUST appoint the right manager this time otherwise the likes of Liverpool and Everton will pull away from us and we will carry on as a top seven side.
Some posters on here want a huge clearout of the playing staff but we cant be doing that again.
A top manager like LVG will surely get the best out of some very talented players in Paulinho, Soldado etc ship a few out who aren't good enough (we all know who they are) and bring in 2 or three top quality signings.

He might or might not be, seems he is, and when he is, he shouldnt be saying it, especially not in this way, not knowing who your best 11 are. Is he right though, are the players carp, or is he out of his depth?
It would be interesting to see Louis van Gaal next year at Spurs, but it seems he might taking over at ManU the way things are reported in the Netherlands.
He's out of his depth.
Try watching us, you'll see.
Sherwood for me this season has been bizarre, taking club rivalry out of it, the whole business with sitting in the stands, sure, get a better view but do it with cameras, the team lacked direction it needed a manager, tim really isn't one.
Maybe he'll turn into one but for my money he's a perfect deflection for the balls up that levy etc. did in the transfer market, like hodgson at Anfield was a massive deflection of anger away from those teabaggers h&g.
I also see this as probably a decent turn out for this season considering you having 1.5 managers, whilst everyone expected you to challenge for top 4 with the amount of money you spent, the balance of your season has swung on 5 or 6 lost games essentially.
I think moving avb on was a mistake, it shows levy hasn't got a plan, that many new players in, it was always going to take time to settle in, however the cards fell avb should've seen the season out.
All it's done is put you back another year and created another lot of turmoil and negativity around your club, if you don't find a top class manager that hit's the ground running, it's going to be another hairy ride for you guys.
sherwood is a massive bell.e.n.d
He doesn't have depth. He turns up, slags off half his team before kick off, gives them team instructions (play where you fancy) and then make some daft comments to Sky or BT afterwards guaranteed to alienate the rest of the squad. Other than that, top young manager.
To be fair though Shortback he's done all he can to instil confidence in the side.. I know being publicly slated for making a mistake and called average would work wonders for me
Me too Pav, really motivates me.
