He's spot on in everything he'a said including the redevelopment of Anfield. We've seen over the years that famous atmospheres can be ruined by moving to a different stadium and it would be foolish to try and build a stadium at Stanley Park.

Also in terms of our title bid he speaks correctly on that too. Nobody would have even expected a title challenge this season including us fans after the position we finished in last year but it has clicked into place well. Good to see he also has a long term plan in place as well and Boston's success shows that him and FSG are very good owners who bring in a good mentality.

His stance and reaction to Suarez in the summer should have showed any doubters he means business, we've been prudent yet but i fully expect FSG to put some big investment in this summer, they knwo we won't last in the CL for long if we don't improve the squad.

The scary thing is if Brendan has us challenging for a title this year with the squad we have what will we be capebale of with some serious quality added to it?

4-5 quality players and a few return loanees and we've a very good squad IMO and we will handle the "MASSIVE HUGE GIGATIC" amount of extra games we will have to play

I'll have to have a listen to the full interview at 3pm but it's all positive so far, clearly to be expected but yeah, that was something I had hoped for, redevelopment rather than a move, he's right, Anfield isn't something that can be replicated.

We're still at early stages, most of our fans know this, whatever happens this year it's all good, we've seen the foundations for the team being laid, next year will be the bigger test, as 'we go again'.

I've seen on other sites that the plan is to expand Main and Anfield Road stands, taking capacity to 58,500. I think they are wanting to keep the "feel" of Anfield whilst expanding capacity--for example not expanding Main to be some gargutuan stand that looks out of place with the rest of the stadium.

I look forward to the release of plans, and highly expect it to still "look like" Anfield, not some generic stadium that could be found anywhere in the world.

That's the same plan they had with Fenway. It's an historic piece of Boston, so the consensus was always to refurbish and expand. It's got a unique atmosphere among baseball stadia and is every bit a piece of the city as the team themselves are. I'm fairly confident that they can do the same with Anfield

"So, we're committed to doing whatever it takes to get Anfield to where it needs to be over the next 20, 30, 40, 50 years and its challenging but it's also rewarding and we'll get it done."

Seems like a long time frame. Does he think there will be years of court battles before something finally gets started?

He's talking about the club in general.....

Think he was just illustrating their commitment to the club long term.

BR said in one of his press conferences a few weeks ago that we are at least a year ahead of where he was expecting us to be. I'm bloody amazed at where we are! I was thinking at the very best we'd be in a battle and maybe scrape fourth place, but wouldn't of been disheartened with fifth. To be where we are is a massive bonus, and though there would be some short term disappointment if we don't win it, I'd be over the moon with a comfortable top 3 finish....
