England just scored nigh on 600.. we still hav a good chance of winning this game..Sri-lanka have only ever won two test matches in England. India and Pakistan are rubbish out side of the sub continent...and why metion some of the players in that list? like Tremlett morgan and bopara.. they have barely played a test match for England. swanns elbow as gone..and he retired

my point is that, that was the team that was ready to dominate the world. It was settled apart from no 6 pos. how did it all go wrong?

England are rubbish outside England aswell

No they are not... they have won in India and in Australia in the last 4 years. we got hammered in Aus.. but most teams do..

With the same logic India has won in the past in England. U got stuffed at home too by South Africa so that makes your team quite rubbish.

Wow, OP have you just woken up? Things change, and unfortunately the England team of 2010 couldn't keep the success going. It happens and it's what makes sport so great.

India have a poor record away from home in their entire history of 70+ years of test cricket.

England were at their peak when they won the ashes 3-1 in Australia and pummelled India 4-0 at home to be no 1 test team in the world. The cracks started to show against south Africa at home when the team started to break up with the retirement of Strauss and the kp text gate scandal. The last hurrah of that team was beating India again in their own backyard and winning the ashes 3-0. The wheels of course completely fell off the wagon in Australia. The problems now are Strauss has still not been replaced as an opener, there is no reliable no 3 in trotts absense just hope he comes back. Priors form has been poor, broad is showing signs of wear and tear, Anderson is getting old now not as effective. The 3rd seamers role has not been nailed down by the likes of Finn, bresnan, tremlett, onions or Rankin. The main problem is swann has retired-no spinner. Monty should now be stepping up but he has not for his own reasons and there is no one else. The new batch of players Robson, ballance, Ali, buttler, Jordan, kerrigan will take time to bed in if at all. Thank goodness though we have rooooooooooot!

so the 3-0 thrashing against Pakistan in between didn't contribute to anything?

I fear that you grasp the way test cricket has been going for the last 4-5 years

When are Pakistan playing England again? Reckon we'll beat you in tests whether it's in the UAE or England

2016 I think ,in England.. have Pakistan suddenly got some batsmen that will score runs then? England will have more experienced players in 2 summers time. Bllance and Root will have more tests under their belts and so will Jordan.

well we've had a settled middle order after thrashing England 3-0. I expect the bowling attack to consist of Junaid and Ajmal and possible even Mo Amir. we've always had opening and wk problems....

mind you misbah will be 43 then so think he would have retired but I wouldn't be surprised one bit it he was still playing.

talk is of azhar opening in tests now and possibly fawad/akmal coming into the middle order.

England became obsessed with picking useless Yorkshire players on the back of a Yorkshire media infiltration.

robin. Pakistan will get blown away in England.. they will struggle to get 200.. Sri-lanka only have Sangakkara .. and a Mathews.. Pakistan don't have anyone of quality. England will easily beat your team.

last time we came to England it was you guys that couldn't deal with our bowling attack. We would have drawn that series if it wasn't for our sheit batting. now we have ajmal also and the pitches in England have evened out since a couple of years ago.

anyway it's a no contest in the UAE. you lot don't even have a spinner

posted on 21/6/14

You don't need a spinner in England in most conditions.
