If he is a total nutcase, then that sentence should read:

We've had nothing but.
VOF, did Ross not turn up or was Ross told not to go?
Without any clarity from the club, fans like yourself start turning on the player based purely on rumour.
I'm not trying to defend Ross, I'm not his biggest fan, just pointing out that in the absence of the club putting anything official out, Ross is getting crucified on the basis of assumptions, which is something you're always telling people that they are wrong to do.
Think at the end of the day, non of us really know what's gone on, but when your star striker doesn't show up to pre season, answers are needed before fans start turning on player or club.
Damage is probably done and the club should look for a good deal for him to move away.
To be fair Jonty, in the same vein, you and a few others have been crucifying Cellino based on quite a few assumptions.
Harrogate, I agree, position is becoming untenable.
We are a month away from season start and our squad is just a much thinner version of last seasons, we desperately need to get things moving now, inbound and outbound and stop these distractions.
batty, that was exactly my point, VOF likes to complain that stuff is based on assumptions etc then does exactly the same thing he complains about regards Ross by accusing him of showing petulance for not getting on a plane, when neither club nor player have said that this is what happened.
Just t be clear, wasn't lumping VOF in with the idiots who tried to go round to Ross's house, just saying that folk are jumping on a bandwagon and yet club have said nothing as to why he isn't in Italy, nothing at all.
Hmmm. Statements that suggest people have proof that the club is feeding the media on purpose are just speculation.
Fact 1: MC has said publicly he does not want to sell
Fact 2 : McCormack did not go to Italy. Not seen any proof - only speculation - on the reasons for that.
Fact 3 : someone is stating the club has turned down £10m. Who the source is is left purely to speculation - but it's a great line to use by someone even if they don't have a source
But here's the thing. It's been reported, and the club can play on that. Leeds United is bigger than any player, manager or owner - I want the best for LUFC. And if that comes about by us keeping McCormack or selling him for more than twice what he is worth, I for one will be happy either way.
Just like in general society, some dimwits can't handle the political games going on. They go over the top. That's a police issue, not a club issue - like being called names on here, people need to either fight it or get over it and man up.
McCormack can man up for me - he is an LUFC player with 3 years left on his contract. If the club don't want to sell, he needs to become part of the fold once more.
The club merely need to keep saying they want McCormack here. That is it, that shows their intent, that is what has been said. An offer may come in that is too good to turn down, so then he goes. Up to that point, he stays.
That's good enough for me. No more cheap sales.
Can someone explain whose position is becoming untenable?
The owner's?
The club's?
McCormack's?
I'm confused.
Long, if I could give you five stars, I would.
Stevie, who said that? Seriously, who did and in relation to whom?

Not my comment I hasten to add.....
Ah, I see. I knew you didn't Stevie. Just missed Jonty's comment. That bit at least.
If £10 million had been offered,he would have been gone and we would have known about it...We would have been questioning the sanity of the buying club and not MC (for once)...If MC just sells, he would be accused of doing a Bates. If he holds out for as much as he can get(which is a possibility),he's also wrong.Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't as they say...And to all those that want a statement from the club,I agree with Eric, maybe we will get one when there is something positive to make one about....Meanwhile, (happy speculating).
Batty, mccormacks position is becoming untenable.
Jonty ........ you've been crucifying the club on the basis of assumptions for the last 2 months. Absolutely priceless that you pick someone else out for doing it to a player - who's clearly missed the trip to Italy in order to engineer a lucrative move away from the club (for which I have no issue). He also has means and ways of keeping the fans informed, after all he was our club captain. He's chosen to keep quiet too - there's been silence all round while this transaction has been completed.
As for the reported sale, great bit of financial business for the club. If the £11m is anywhere close to the truth, then as long as a good portion of that is re-invested wisely in playing staff, then I believe we'll be a stronger overall team - not just reliant on an individual.
If you're going to knock others, take a look at your own posts first ............ I've learnt everything I know from the best at posting negative assumptions .......
StevieD............. I know my earlier post was a veiled attack at RM, based on an assumption - which you're correct I do have a go at others for. Whilst it was a finger in the air assumption, it was also based on all the media speculation and the hard evidence that our club captain isn't with the rest of the squad in Italy right now. Had he been missing for "personal reasons" then the club website you'd like to think would have said as such, thereby deflecting any criticism away from the player.
The fact this didn't happen, means to me that all parties were perfectly aware that a transfer was imminent, it was just the price to be agreed that stood in the way of it going ahead.
Perhaps petulance and foot stamping were over the top - however I knew that when typing it i'd get the response and accusation I did from certain quarters.

#lufc McCormack feels he has been "hung out to dry" & I believe he won't be packing any punches when he tells his story.
he is bound to say that though.......
Adam Pope says this, Adam Pope says that...!
Jonty said this about Ross McCormack on his own thread
As a character I just have feeling that he was not the best at creating harmony in the dressing room and I would not be surprised if his leaving actually helps the squad gel more.
Is that not hanging someone out to dry...?
