That Rangers are victims, yes, I fully agree.

Hmmm

Let me hazard an outrageous guess. Another Tim with a typewriter and an ingrained sense if inferiority seeks to put in to words his/her obsession about Rangers.

That's original....

If you'd have read it you wouldn't have made that comment.

A verbal attack on an ex Gers player...wow.

I glanced at it and saw the usual.

Sevco blah

DJ is a buffoon blah

Ingrained sense of superiority demolished blah

We get it, there are some of you guys who have an obsession which is at best unhealthy and at worse deranged.

Ibrox disaster aside, in the worst ever time to follow our team, if we ever needed a comfy blanket it would be made up in part with the stalkers from across the city.

If we really don't matter to Celtic, Scottish football, etc then stop talking/writing/stalking.

It's getting creepy now...

There are other paragraphs ath. He claims DJ is a mouthpiece for the current incumbents and compares his ET column to something Traynor would issue.

Forrest wants to focus on getting fit.

A written attack surely....

<pedant>

In fairness I think his vitriol is more targeted at the 'journalists' that fan the flames of outrage.

Fingers in the ears???

Because I make the outrageous assumption that a Celtic fan may not be impartial when it comes to Rangers?

Sure...

Take the bbc news prog the other night - why would a Celtic supporter even want to talk about our situation?

Strange...

dB

No it is not, the DIY wannabe Journalists that write these blogs are just as good/bad as those employed by the DR and the jobs-for-the-boys BBC.

To clarify by 'talk' I mean constantly blog/tweet/write and appear on the tele, etc

Obviously it's normal for fans and friends (virtual or otherwise ) to WUM, discuss, etc...

Never seen BBC programme, was hoping to concentrate on this particular piece of writing.

I just don't read the papers, depressing.

I get my Rangers news from the official website.

And Irvine of course

That's pretty 'staunch'. Was Green's chrimbo message on the official website?

Maybe came across a bit tetchy (had an eight hour drive and only three hours sleep)

It can be equally as lazy to cry 'obsessed' when reading these things.

It's just - I do genuinely believe that there is a small element of Celtic supporters who live and breathe Rangers.

One of the best things I read/saw in this site was the amount if Celtic fans (on here) decrying Lawell for his pantomime joke at the CFC AGM. They saw it for the deflection it was....

That was a mixture of bizarre, funny and embarrassing

Thomas Joyce, Glasgow , said: “Rangers supporters used to always say that as Celtic manager Neil Lennon brought problems upon himself.

“With Ibrox, this is exactly the situation because they brought all their financial problems and woes upon themselves.”

posted on 12/7/14

Ha, nae bother. Thought you were always like that!
There's plenty of our support annoyed at Lawell, he's frikkin money mad.
The article to me was about the role of the press and responsibilities towards football fans that buy their paper.
He also mentioned 'good' Rangers men and how they've been let down so far.

So is that all you deduce from the article timmy?

There must be some kind of 'love to hate' thing which goes on with Scottish footy fans and Journos.

I really can't think of many (if any?) who gain mutual respect from both sides of the old firm.

Answers on a post card....,

Wish Scottish journalists took a leaf out of Hugh McIvanneys book rather than out of Adrian Durhams. Copy that winds-up one side or the other is obviously preferable to quality writing.

I tend not to bother with these blogs. I am not particularly interested in some unknowns opinion but I will read it.

Well as far as I can see it is just some Celtic fan having a dig at rangers and the media. I don't ever remember Derek Johnstone claiming to be impartial so I don't know why he is having a go at him for that. John hartsons column isn't impartial neither Chris Sutton. In fact neither is his blog.

The sensible rangers fans know what happened and who is to blame. They just don't admit it to Celtic fans as we will ridicule them for it.
